Do it all or do nothing at all but do come & enjoy! We’d love to have you!
In the 1800's, the folks who owned it did cotton farming. It was later purchased by a doctor who took two old houses and sistered them together. Original ceilings still remain in the dining room, living room and grand hall.
Years later, a lovely gentleman who was a structural engineer bought it and remodeled it, adding on two bedrooms with private bathrooms.
After looking for several years for just such a place, we knew we had found it the moment we walked on the land. We fell in love with the whole place & you will, too! We did some updating ourselves by taking in the large utility room adjacent to the kitchen, thus allowing us to create a huge country kitchen with 11 foot pine top island for family and friends to gather and keep the cook company. We added two farmhouse sinks and a stove any chef would be proud of as well as the updated dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, and a microwave. Then came a luxury bathroom with air- jetted tub in the master suite. A sitting room was created in the master suite from what was once an enclosed porch. Over the last few years, we added a stone fireplace in the large family room, enlarged the back deck, and added a 20 X 20 pavilion down by the spring fed pond.
Do come! You’ll love it!

Skip and I traveled all over looking for a beautiful setting to retire to one day. We fell in love with this place and feel blessed to share it with others.
It feels so calm & peaceful here. A great place to get away from the city. But although it's out in the country, it is easy to get to and from town and HEB in Brenham is less than 10 minutes away! There's even a Starbucks right off 290 & 36 by Walmart.
We love the gracious feel of the farmhouse & it's setting among large oak trees. The 11' island in the kitchen is a great place to gather while you cook on the Wolf stove. Outdoor areas to relax are plentiful and there is usually a lovely breeze to enjoy. Our 5 acre pond is spring fed and has had plenty of water even during the worst of the drought. Now we have an in-ground pool that really is great in the summer heat!
