Beautifully furnished stone and cedar colonial Cape Cod cottage sits high on a hill up a private drive. The formal dining room with new 200 year old barn plank furniture (not pictured) and living room with large fleidstone fireplace and Mitchell Gold furniture lead to a large bluestone & cedar terrace with teak furniture, outdoor gas BBQ and a hot tub all facing the fenced, park-like grounds. The kitchen is newly renovated and has granite countertops, stainless appliances, including a double convection oven, microwave and dishwasher with original pine cabinetry.
FIELDSTONE COTTAGE is only 11 miles to Rhinebeck Village and it's many restaurants, shops & galeries and 15 minutes to Millbrook and Orvis Sandanona and also to the Staatsburg Riverfront where kayaking, boat launch and the Dinsmore golf course are available. We are just a few minutes to Omega Institute as well as several equestrian riding centers and a short drive to The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Roosevelt Home and Library, Olana (Fredrick Church home) and the Vanderbilt Estate in Hyde Park
My daughter, her husband and her son spent time with me here summer of 2013 and it was perfect! Owner is very responsive and the deck in the back is absolutely beautiful. We spent much time there. I would definitely recommend this home away from home.
My wife and I came here with two other couples for a few days leading up to and then through New Years. One couldn't ask for a more comfortable home to relax and catch up with friends. Jason is a responsive and accommodating host. I would stay here again.
This house is everything you want from a vacation home, this house is gorgeous, and it’s much bigger than it looks at the photos. The backyard is huge and beautiful, the hot tub is amazing, and everything was very clean and tasteful. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable, everything is perfect in this house and it feels like every little detail was thought of and every little detail is there to make it pleasant for you. The house is very private, and feels very secluded. It’s a short ride to Rhinebeck where there are bunch of restaurants etc. On top of that Jason is the nicest most generous host, so kind and pleasant to deal with – and it really matters. He left his bar open for us and gave us a bottle of wine as a present, was very flexible with us and always reachable when we had questions. This was the perfect time away from the city. Thank you Jason!
Four college friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Fieldstone Terrace. The home was very comfortable and amenable to a weekend long food, wine and chat fest! We were so comfortable it was hard to get motivated to actually leave the property. The owner was a delight to deal with and very helpful recommending area restaurants and places of interest. This is a great "get away from it all" home, it's amenities matched it's online description. The hot tub was a fun bonus!
My five friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in early August, and it was absolutely charming. There was a perfect amount of space for all of us - we ate all of our meals outside under the umbrella, and spent the vast majority of our time hanging out together on the deck. Even when were inside, we didn't feel cramped - the living room had adequate and comfortable seating, and the dining room was spacious as well. The kitchen was a tiny bit cramped for 6 people, so we took turns with the cooking and cleaning, but overall the layout is very conducive to a group of friends catching up. The gardens are lovely and we saw plenty of deer around the yard.
The location is a bit remote, but it was nice to be away from the city, and our landlord Jason left tons of brochures describing what was available in the area. Our group had a wonderful dinner at the Culinary Institute of America, only about half an hour away. Jason was very attentive and helpful during the booking process, and made sure we knew how to reach him during our stay. He also left very detailed and helpful instructions for how to find things within the house and what to do upon checkout.
The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning - it will come as no surprise that it was extremely warm in August. Unfortunately, this made it very difficult to enjoy the hot tub until fairly late in the evening - the nighttime temperatures were quite pleasant. We rummaged in the closets until we found some extra fans, which ended up being lifesavers. I would recommend the house as an excellent destination during the spring or fall - if you visit during the summer, be prepared for quite a warm time.
My friends and I chose Fieldstone Cottage for the location of our six-person reunion. We had such a great time cooking dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, soaking in the hot tub, and catching rays on the spacious porch. Jason was amazing- not only did he leave us a bottle of wine and hand-written note, but he also checked in to make sure everything was going well and opened up his personal liquor bar and pantry to us. From the location of the cottage we were easily able to drive to CIA for dinner and to get to downtown Rhinebeck. The cottage was clean and well-stocked, and we couldn't recommend it more!
In the Hamlet of Clinton minutes from the Villages of Rhinebeck and Millbrook and 3 miles from The Omega Institute. Kayaking, swimming, museums, historic sites and great hiking all short distance away.
