Lovely for a relaxed weekend!

My five friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in early August, and it was absolutely charming. There was a perfect amount of space for all of us - we ate all of our meals outside under the umbrella, and spent the vast majority of our time hanging out together on the deck. Even when were inside, we didn't feel cramped - the living room had adequate and comfortable seating, and the dining room was spacious as well. The kitchen was a tiny bit cramped for 6 people, so we took turns with the cooking and cleaning, but overall the layout is very conducive to a group of friends catching up. The gardens are lovely and we saw plenty of deer around the yard.
The location is a bit remote, but it was nice to be away from the city, and our landlord Jason left tons of brochures describing what was available in the area. Our group had a wonderful dinner at the Culinary Institute of America, only about half an hour away. Jason was very attentive and helpful during the booking process, and made sure we knew how to reach him during our stay. He also left very detailed and helpful instructions for how to find things within the house and what to do upon checkout.
The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning - it will come as no surprise that it was extremely warm in August. Unfortunately, this made it very difficult to enjoy the hot tub until fairly late in the evening - the nighttime temperatures were quite pleasant. We rummaged in the closets until we found some extra fans, which ended up being lifesavers. I would recommend the house as an excellent destination during the spring or fall - if you visit during the summer, be prepared for quite a warm time.
