Is this not the best down island view from St John? Coral Bay harbor nestles at your feet. Look up to see the pristine waters of Hurricane Hole and the Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument. Looking north, there is Sandy Key and the rolling Atlantic Ocean. Looking east, you see Sir Francis Drake Channel, framed by Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Ginger, Cooper, Peter and Norman Islands. To the south, past Flannagan Island, lies the tranquil Caribbean Sea.

You enter the delightful great room, finished in tropical hardwoods, Italian tile and Brazilian granite. It features a gourmet kitchen, beautifully appointed living areas and a powder room. Step out to the cantilevered deck to take in the panoramic view. Walk down to the lower level to enjoy the pool, sun deck and outdoor shower. On this level are two bedrooms, both air-conditioned with private baths. Exteriors are old world stucco and native stone. Interiors were professionally designed and finished by master craftsmen.

About the Weather: When you see that little 'rain' icon on your favorite weather forcasting website, don't be alarmed. Back home it usually means that it will probably be raining most of the day. Here, on St John, it usually means that there is a 30% chance of a 15 minute shower, with beautiful sunshine for the rest of the day.

We think our location is second to none. When you drive up from Coral Bay, you take US route 108, which is paved all the way. In our neighborhood, Lunazul is at the 'end of the road,' and we enjoy excellent privacy. High above Coral Bay, the villa faces east and is designed to frame the views of Sir Francis Drake Channel and the BVI's. Built to capture the tradewinds, Lunazul is cool in many ways. While our friends on the west side of the island, will show you a beautiful sunset picture, they usually enjoy it from behind closed shades with the A/C on. Meanwhile, you will be sitting on our deck, in the shade of Bordeaux Mountain, watching the twilight advance over the Coral Reef National Monument. Be forewarned, our lenghty twilight can sometimes extend cocktail hour beyond the normal time.

We had the pleasure of staying at Lunazul for nine wonderful days. Lunazul exceeded our expectations in every way. The location, views, privacy and amenities are outstanding. The Coral Bay area is our favorite place to stay on St. John.

Owner's Stan and Kathy are great hosts and we really enjoyed getting to know them. We can't wait to go back!

Absolutely wonderful! A great location, superb views, wonderful decks, pool!, comfy beds and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. ...easy to get to and great location, coral bay is the best. ...stan was great, friendly, helpful, available as needed, onsite but not intrusive. I can't say enough good things! We'll be back!

My family just returned home after a fantastic week long stay at the Lunazul. I am so happy that I chose this beautiful home. Everything about this house is perfect including the owners. We would have been unable to experience the true beauty and culture of St. John without staying in this lovely home perched above Coral Bay.

We just finished our first..but not last..2 week stay at Lunazul. Anyone wanting to spend time in St John should consider Lunazul as their destination of choice in "paradise." Stan and Kathy, the owners, have conceptualized, designed, and constructed a truly modern hideaway. The attention to detail in the construction, appointments, and amenities is fabulous. You're at home from the first moment you drive up and enter the villa.The privacy,the outstanding views and the quietness are major assets. Everything from outstanding beaches and great snorkeling opportunities to very good restaurants and boating excursions are all short drives away. Convenient shopping locations are at hand in Coral Bay and more shopping opportunities ( as well as gasoline ) are available in Cruz Bay.

Stan and Kathy are great owners and hosts. They are dedicated to making your stay a truly worry-free and wonderful experience.Though they live in a separate cottage on the grounds,they respect your privacy....but they are readily available if needed.Plus Stan is a great resource for suggestions on various boating excursions and snorkeling sites as well as other St. John information.

Amazing place... mouth-watering views, tastefully designed and decorated, high-end from top to bottom. Stan and Kathy manage to balance being gracious and attentive hosts while being totally unobtrusive. Can't imagine a more perfect home base for a St. John vacation. Thank you so much!
