Three friends from Atlanta are the owners of this wonderful townhouse. We love the area and rent this property to share with others who enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling, fishing and the huge number of winter and summer activities in the Aspen/Basalt area.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2007

We chose to buy our Townhouse in Basalt because of its great location in the Roaring Fork Valley, with easy access to Aspen and the ski areas, as well as the wonderful recreational, culinary and other resources from Basalt to Carbondale and beyond to Glenwood Springs.

COMFORTABLE AND AFFORDABLE

  • 5 of 5
Myself and 3 buddies rented this property so we could have access to fish the Frying Pan river. The place was comfortable, clean and quiet, not to mention affordable. The owner did a great job of quickly taking care of all the details, even though we booked last minute.

We all agreed we will be booking again in the Spring.

A GOOD VALUE. GREAT FOR CYCLISTS.

  • 4 of 5
We had a very pleasant 2 week stay. The condo was as described. Comparable sized rental in Aspen would cost 2 to 3 times. Interior was clean. Fresh paint and good upkeep. Plumbing fixtures older, but they work. Carpet clean, but somewhat worn. Property in relatively quiet industrial district complex of 40 or so other condos. About 2 miles from downtown Basalt...can cycle there, but driving better. 3 blocks from Rio Grande River Multi-use Path. 1-2 miles from new Whole Foods, pizza place.

We cycled almost daily...easy ride to Carbondale with a nice coffee shop, restaurants. Also a relatively easy ride to Woody Creek Tavern for lunch. A little bit tougher ride to Aspen and Glenwood Springs...but doable (we are not strong riders...age 66).

Up to Aspen several times...easy 30 minute drive. Restaurants and shops in Basalt fine.

Condo had blazing fast WiFi (6 mb/sec). TV was nice with all channels. No DVR, but able to play DVDs.

All in all...a very adequate and roomy 2 bedroom condo....but not fancy or updated...no granite counters, stainless steel appliances, ladies. Only two of us, but we had quests 2 nights. Plenty of room for 4.

Owner responded promptly and adequately to my emails, but didn't give her phone number until fully paid. We have been gone 5 days and no word as yet regarding damage deposit.

Owner's Response: Just a note to mention that our policy is to promptly return all damage deposits and our email regarding the damage deposit and renter's review crossed in cyber space. Also, new carpet is presently being installed in the bedrooms, hall and stairs (all other rooms have tile floors), all kitchen appliances are stainless steel and the counter-top in the kitchen is tile. We appreciate all of our renters and since we use the Townhouse often, we always keep it in tip-top shape.

A GREAT STAY IN THE BASALT CONDO

  • 5 of 5
My wife, a friend, and I stayed in the Basalt condo for three nights. The condo exceeded all of our expectations. It is spacious and has two separate bedroom, each with a private bath. The furnishing are very nice and there are numerous personal touches, especially a large collection of functional pottery. We very much enjoyed the ambiance. The hot tub is a wonderful ammenity. We used it each day. Finally, the location is perfect for sightseers. Aspen, Carbondale, and Redstone are short drives from the condo. Basalt is a charming town, just a few minutes away. And, for the foodies, Whole foods just opened about two miles away. Most importantly, we would happily stay at the condo again.

GREAT!

  • 4 of 5
The townhouse is very comfortable and feels like a home. The amenities were perfect - lots of towels, kitchenware, a washer and dryer, and laundry soap too! It's location is great . You can easily get to Aspen and all the surrounding ski areas and you can also travel north to Glenwood Springs and soak in the hot tubs. We went whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and even bungie jumping,(at least my son did.) I would definitely recommend this rental.

THANK YOU FOR OUR "HOME AWAY FROM HOME"!

Thank you for our "home away from home"!
  • 5 of 5
My husband and I had a great stay at the Gunshor's townhouse. We've stayed in Basalt in the past, but always at a hotel, We really enjoyed the flexibility of having "our own" home away from home, to prepare meals, have a soak in the hot tub, and just hang out in the very comfy living room after our usually long days out in pursuit of trout in the many river options for flyfishing in the area! We really appreciated the information you provided for local area's for shopping and eating, and suggest you add 'Bernard's Bistro' to the list of places to eat in Basalt. a really quaint, small bistro, with fabulous food and great ambiance. We had a really exceptional dinner there with my sister and her husband (who live in Denver) and my sister and I had a really nice lunch there the next day! thanks again, and we hope to return again some time in the near future! May & Tom V.
