Upstairs apartment with separate entrance. Nicely furnished. Bedroom with queen size antique bed. Living area with queen size convertible couch into bed and convertible single. Air conditioned, with library or books, radio (no t.v.), microwave, 2 burner hotplate, refrigerator, electric oven, toaster, all the essentials. View of the sea from the patio. On private tree lined street in the upscale Afridar section of town. RESERVATION MUST BE MADE AT LEAST A WEEK IN ADVANCE.

Ashkelon is a beautiful city of 125,000 on the Mediterranean. It is mentioned in the Bible and is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world. There is a National Park which contains the ruins from various epochs including the oldest arched gate in the world from the Caananite period. There are clean public beaches, shopping malls, and many amenities. One hour from Tel Aviv and 1 1/2 hours from Jerusalem.

This home is exactly as the pictures indicate. It is an open floor plan, beautiful, full of light and very nice. The neighborhood is great, everything is within a short walking distance - such as the bus, grocery store, restaurants, synagogue, beach, etc. The property manager goes out of his way to help you in whatever way he can - showing you how to get around, key locations, providing food for your first night, etc. The owners are delightful and very accomodating. Definitely give this place a try. A great way to experience Israel in a quiet, Israeli neighborhood.
