Cove Cottage is a simple, bright and sun filled antique cape on the edge of the Village. Its granite ledges, sloping into McHeard Cove, provide on-site swimming and canoe and kayak access to the surrounding cove and Blue Hill Bay. Adirondack chairs and a fire pit overlook the water. A south facing exterior deck provides additional outside seating and dining. All rooms but the bathroom have water views.
East Blue Hill is a small, friendly village with a library (with high speed internet access), post office, park, playground and boat launch. The Curtis Cove beach, a short walk to the east of the Village, offers some of the warmest swimming on the Down East Coast.
Blue Hill, 4 miles away, has restaurants, shops, galleries, theater, concerts, a fine library.
Local farms and fishermen provide quality fresh food.
The Cottage is owned by a couple who use it as often as possible during the Summer and Autumn.
East Blue Hill is a small friendly village on McHeard Cove with long views across Blue Hill Bay to Acadia National Park.
