Designed and built in the late 90's refreshed for the rental market in 2010, SeaBarn is a truly exceptional place for families to vacation together. Visitors have commented when sitting by the sea wall they feel as if they are on the set of a movie! Unlike odors created by the mud and marsh of other tides in other parts of the world, the Maine Rocky coast creates gorgeous, clean changing views with the tides. At low tide a small sun warmed pond is created and is wonderful place for young children to play in the shallow waters.

Off Season SeaBarn provides great winter panoramic views of the ocean. With plenty of space for a wonderful family get together.

Located in a quiet private residential area of Cape Elizabeth near the city of Portland. Portland's wonderful restaurants, unique museums and other cultural activities Outdoor parks and trails and nearby for outdoor walking, sledding, cross country skiing etc., make this property a formidable destination for any season.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollar) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • A 50% deposit of rental fee is required to reserve property. The remainder of the rental fee + tax + security deposit is required 3 months prior to occupancy.

    Cancellation prior to 90 days of occupancy with will receive full refund. If cancellation is after 90 days prior to occupancy, refund will depend on owner getting rental for that period of time. If owner can only get a rental at a reduced rate - the refund will be prorated.

    A cleaning fee of $225.00 will be charged within a $400.00 deposit. Tenant is required to leave property in the condition they found it. If property is left in disarray - remainder of $400.00 security deposit will not be refunded... Otherwise remainder of deposit ($400 dollars less cleaning fee of $225 dollars) will be refunded within 3 weeks of departure.

When I saw Lisa D's review I had to say something also. Wonderfull time spent here, the property and location was great, couldn't ask for more. We actually were here over a year ago for a week, 9/10/11 and have been waiting for our security deposit to be returned. We left the home and dishes actually cleaner then when we arrived with no damage thus no reason for not returning the security deposit. Contacted the owner numerous times (did speak to him twice), sent emails, contacted HomeAway all to no avail. Just ignored. I'd be cautious in dealing with this owner.

Great Home

This was a great property. My large family had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked, the view was great, the house had plenty of room.

The only negative, which I hate to put into a review, is that I have tried on numerous occassions to reach the owner for a return of our portion of the cleaning deposit, and he has not returned my calls.

Other then this, I would recommend the home.

We have discovered Maine in recent years so we were excited to be going to the wedding of dear friends daughter in lovely Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Everything as usual was in a postcard setting. SeaBarn was delightful. It was so roomy and what a glorious sight to walk out of your bedroom every morning to the beautiful ocean out the back of the home. Our gathering included old and new friends and Sea Barn allowed us to make many wonderful memories. This vacation home is one that will never be forgotten....

Fun and Relaxing!

Our group of eight had a wonderful time at Sea Barn. This lovely home provided us a comfy spot to kick back and relax but it was also the perfect spot from which to explore Maine. We spent several days relaxing in our sweats and Sea Barn was perfect. There was plenty of space for everyone to be able to read, watch tv, play games or just sit and enjoy the view. Sea Barn was also the perfect jumping off point for day trips to lots of the lovely little towns in Maine such as Kennebunkport and Boothbay and Freeport just to name a few. We also delighted in exploring Portland especially the abundance of really fine restaurants we found. We hated to leave and we're already trying to figure our when we can come back!!

An amazing property!!

I highly recommend, without hesitation a stay @ The SeaBarn! We rented the home (8 of us) for a long girls weekend in celebration of my moms 60th birthday. There were 4 girls that flew in for the weekend from all over and this destination made it all worth it for them. The pictures (although beautiful) do not do the home justice. The moment you walk through the front door you will be captured by the beauty and magic the atmosphere of this property has to offer. The architecture and decor is a perfect balance of high end accommodations and comfort all wrapped into one. The furnishings are well appointed throughout. The kitchen draw you in to cook and socialize with every detail being thought of. Whether you're lounging outside at the seawall watching the tide come and go or curled up on the sofa enjoying the view, this is what being on the coast of Maine is all about!
