North Conway Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

Plenty of space and privacy for 3 couples, an in-law situation or large family.

If you are looking for a charming farm house in the White Mountains close to shops, restaurants, attractions and has Saco River access, look no further. We've created a home that you will make memories in. The views of the Moat and Chocorua Mountains are beautiful. The house welcomes you to sit out on the farmer's porch and 'sit a spell'. The house has been restored to it's 1860's feel. The country kitchen was updated in 2013 and the gathering room has a lovely wood burning fireplace and authentic wood beams. You'll also notice that we decorate for each season. Each of the 3 bedrooms have their own TV's, gas fireplaces, sitting areas and private bath rooms which makes this house very appealing to a larger family or 3 couples or an in-law situation or if you only need 2 bedrooms we can adjust the price accordingly by locking off the 3rd bedroom. We offer our guests snowshoes to use in the winter and we have teamed up with our neighbor and are now offering sleigh rides this winter as well. In the summer, enjoy the Saco River which is walking distance from our house and we have a 400 foot beach with inner tubes, beach chairs and access for canoes and kayaks. We think that you'll fall in love with this property as my husband and I did 10 years ago! Read the many reviews and then decide!

About Linda

I have always worked with the public and really enjoy meeting people and making them happy. My husband is a builder by trade and enjoys remodeling old houses and keeping the intregrity of the period in mind. Together we make a good team and have enjoyed meeting guests from all over the USA and abroad.

Linda purchased this farmhouse in 2002

Why Linda chose North Conway

My husband and I have always loved the White Mountains and knew that someday when our children grew up that we would move up here. When this house came on the market we knew that this would be the right place for us to start dreaming about what we'd do with it. It was built in the 1860's which is something that we really liked as we are into older homes. The 23 acres of fields, woods and the Saco River were the icing on the cake. We had a vision of making this into a small inn with the charm of yesteryear and the amenities of today.

What makes this farmhouse unique

I feel that we are a unique property because we can divide the house into a 2 or 3 bedroom space. The 2 bedroom option would be great for a small family or 2 couples, as we can put the king beds together to make a king bed if needed. If you had a situation that you had your parents or in-laws with you and needed a bit more privacy, the 3rd bedroom is a bit more private from the other two and has a sitting room that looks out to the Moats and Chocorua Mts. for some gorgeous views. It also has a private deck and entrance.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I rented this home as an anniversary/birthtday getaway for my parents. From the moment I contacted the owner Linda, she was so nice and made me feel like this surprise would go off without a hitch, and it did.My parents lost their breath when they arrived at this beautiful Noth Conway country home from the moment they pulled in the driveway. The home is so inviting and is decorated so cute, all the rooms are very large and the house is impecably clean. We want to thank Linda for such a nice welcome basket and for her and Jay's hospitality. This is a beautiful house and property inside and out that provides all the comforts of home. It is in such a convinient location and only about 1-1.5 miles away from downtown North Conway. There is so much to do in the area. Thanks again, Linda and Jay for making my parents' NH getway so memorable. We will definately be back for future vacation stays. This vacation home gets 5 stars from us!

Girls Weekend 2015

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I had a wonderful, relaxing girls' weekend in Conway. The Farmhouse was very clean, decorated well and provided lots of space to hang out. This home is very inviting. We all loved it and would certainly return for another visit.

The welcome basket was a perfect touch. :)

From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be our favorite vacation home! Within an hour of our arrival we had on the snowshoes that the owners provide and we were out enjoying the sights in back of the house along the Saco River. The kitchen has the look and feel of a farmhouse and it's very well stocked and the large fireplace is situated in such a way that it can be enjoyed from the kitchen as well as the living room. I couldn't get over how roomy and comfortable the bedrooms were and it was great that each one had its own private bath. I can't think of anything that I didn't like except that I wasn't staying longer. Linda & Jay were great and so willing to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. You can bet we'll be back again!'

February School Break Week

  • 5 of 5

My family of three stayed at the farm house during the week of school vacation. We planned to ski, snowshoe, sleep late, and relax as a family. We were able to do all of it and much more for a memorable winter vacation.

The farmhouse is designed with such comfort in mind that you sometimes find it hard to leave the house and are so happy to return after a day of skiing, shopping, or Kahuna Laguna. While the pictures of the property illustrate the care taken and style in which Linda & Jay decorate, the pictures do not show the thought that went into the design of the bedrooms and living spaces. They are much larger than I imagined and so easy to live in. They make great sense and have every amenity you could need. As a family of three and for a couple days, two families of three, we had more than enough room to be together and alone while all in the house at the same time.

Thank you to Linda & Jay for being exceptional hosts. The welcome gifts were so unexpected. We had an amazing time and the house played a big part in the experience. We were so active this vacation that it was fabulous to have a special place to retire to in the evenings.

My 7 year old son, who rarely cries, cried for a half hour when we left. He even played a song on his keyboard in tribute to the house on his way out the door.

We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay with upscale amenities while at the same time character, charm, warmth, fantastic attentive hosts, and great location.

There was no aspect of our stay at 'The Old Farm Inn' that we did not enjoy. The accommodation itself is full of character, cosy, amazingly appointed, we wanted for nothing. Linda and Jay are delightful. Our stay was everything we had hoped and more. We sledded, snow shoed', had a sleigh ride, all around the property; we had three days of super skiing at Cranmore, as well as tubing, had a fun afternoon at the Water Park at the Jackson Hotel, I think it was, and enjoyed skating on the outdoor rink in town. We thoroughly enjoyed "The Muddy Moose" for two dinners, and had a good one at 'Tuckerman's Tavern', but we really enjoyed our dinners at 'home', with a lovely log fire. Anyone who stays at 'The Old Farm' is fortunate indeed. The Drew family, Bermuda

The last time Dave and I stayed here we hiked up Mt Pemi where David proposed to me, Jay and Linda on finding this out really made a lovely fuss of us both, we loved the old Farm house, it was like home from home. the house was immaculately turned out, the kitchen had more appliances, baking equipment etc than mine does! ...... When Dave and a I decided on another trip to the New England from England, this time our honeymoon! the Old farm house was a must, Jay and Linda have been very busy since we last stayed and have converted the old dining room into a wonderful kitchen, installed a downstairs half bath and a mud room/laundry. as always the standards are high. Also they have started a new cottage added to the rear of the house with views over the mountains .... looks incredible. Were already planning a summer trip to The Old Farm house, we can highly recommend to all travelers ...Jacqui and David Giles

This 1860's, 'Currier and Ives' farm house has been recently remodeled into two warm and cozy attached homes. We have strived to keep the integrity of this period, antique, timber frame home in the decorating and the architecture.

We are located 1.5 miles from the village of North Conway. Story Land is 15 minutes north of us. Echo Lake and Diana's Baths are 10 mintues away for some picturesque swimming and hiking. Come stay with us and enjoy our 'peace of heaven'. We have a 400 foot beach, a fire pit, lawn and indoor games and so much more! This winter, enjoy snowshoeing from your door on 23 acres of woods and fields. We provide 6 sets of adult snowshoes with the price.

Other Activities: This is a great location as we are close to town but not in the center of it. We have restaurants, grocery stores, banks, a bakery, hairdresser, canoe and kyak rentals, and tennis courts within walking distance. We provide snowshoes and 26 + acres of open fields and wooded paths to enjoy a fun afternoon of outdoor exercise in the winter and beach on the Saco River within walking distance.

Golf: North Conway public golf course is just 5 minutes from us and is open to the public and has a very nice restaurant. It is next to the train station in North Conway.

Ski: Cranmore Mountain, which has been totally updated to accommodate young and old, beginners and pros, tubing, skiing, and a mountain coaster, is only 5 minutes from us! Attitash and King Pine are 20 minutes from us and Loon is 40 minutes away. King Pine is a great ski resort for young children and is family oriented. It has a skating rink, tubing and gentle slopes.
