This 2,100 sq ft loft is truly in a league of its own. The luxurious townhouse is located directly on the waterfront in downtown Victoria. Within a ten minute walk, guests can reach the Empress hotel and pretty much all downtown locations. Other close locations, include Chinatown (two minute walk), Kayak/Boat rentals (1 minute walk), ferry taxis (2 minutes away. Guests can take a tour of the harbor), and the local Canoe Brew Pub (2 minutes away).
The Loft features 18 feet high ceilings. The dramatic living room is an open two stories with floor to ceiling windows, and is overlooked by the combination den/artists studio. The outside of the unit features a patio with LA-style patio set, a grill (BBQ) and a small garden, overlooking the waterway.
The unit includes a full size kitchen (Bosch fridge and stove), two full bathrooms and 1 washroom.
The unit includes a small gym (exercise bike, rowing machine and weight bench).
The unit features a high quality washer and dryer machine. There is one master bedroom featuring a memory foam queen-sized bed. There is also a comfortable fold down bed in the upstairs loft for any extra 'stowaways' - or extra family members.
The unit has two entrances, one which leads to the parking stall in the garage and the second one that opens up to the front patio.
Also featured: An electric fireplace, an entertainment area featuring a high end wall-mounted television, a Yamaha baby grand piano, track lighting throughout the loft, plenty of space for entertaining, and large wood dining table, and a one space for parking, among other things.
The living room: Features high end leather couch, bamboo chair set, Italian table, native art, and a number of large paintings commissioned specifically for the loft.
Kitchen: Keurig coffee maker, microwave, dishes and cutlery, among other things.
Bedroom: Master bedroom features a queen size memory foam bed.
Entertainment area: 60” Wall-mounted LED television. Sonos wireless music system to connect to your own music system.

The owner loves the location of the loft. Loves the waterfront and loves Victoria.
Couldn't find a more distinctive unit. It is an extremely large loft and it is located on the waterfront of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Certainly one of a kind unit.
This was a terrific vacation, five weeks in spacious surroundings with the feel of an art gallery, yet comfortable, inviting, and with all the nice conveniences that help make the stay particularly relaxing. For location this is Hard to beat. Fronting on the harbor, a wonderful restaurant/brewpub next door to the complex, Victoria's Chinatown With great food, TV's, acupuncture and massage beginning literally across the street from the other side of the loft complex. Yet thanks to positioning and excellent soundproof, your secure and quiet inside Until you choose to go out and see the sights.
This unit is also just a short walk (in Victoria's wonderful Summer climate) to the inner harbor with the Empress Hotel, Legislative lawns and the provincial capital's legislative building, and site of numerous concerts, festivals and other public events. If you stay for a week or more like we did, by all means have a rent car to explore the island, your inside secured parking is less than 50 feet from your entrance door. But for short stays there's plenty to do within walking distance. In fact walk West along the meandering harbor coastline Out to where you can sit and relax enjoy the magnificent inner Harbor view of both the Empress and legislative incoming cruise boats and international ferry, plus watch the seaplanes take off and land. For break from walking, jump on the harbor taxi right outside the door to your loft And take a fun ride to wherever you want to go in the local harbor. Also a spacious loft office set up made what was for me, unavoidably, partly a working vacation painless and comfortable. This place is a winner, come visit and enjoy!
We love to walk, and we wanted to see downtown Victoria, and we found this Townhome to be the perfect place to stay. Just one block from China town, we cut through every time we went for a walk. There was always something interesting going on there. My wife and I are vegan, and Victoria is the most vegan friendly city we have ever visited. Be Love and Rebar were two of the best restaurants that we have found. And don't leave without taking a whale tour. After cruising with a pod of killer whales, I will never be the same.
The Waterfront Loft was as nice as the pictures. I enjoy cooking, and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with the appropriate cookware for making some nice meals at home. After a trip to the farmers market, we found everything we needed to prepare the food. Frances was very helpful when we arrived and made up feel very welcome. We had a rental car, and it was parked close to the door and very convenient. A two block drive and you are on the main road to the airport. The loft could not have been in a better location.
We are already discussing dates for a return to Victoria. It is a beautiful city.
What a wonderful location for a vacation.It is close enough to Chinatown for most provisioning and within very easy walking distance of downtown Victoria where there are inumerable good pubs and restaurants.
We had two adult kids with us,stayed comfortably for a month, and managed quite well without a car although we did go further afield by the #31/32 bus from nearby Douglas St. to the Uptown Mall outside the city for some supermarket items unavailable from the Chinatown shops--a 15min or so ride.
The property itself was well presented,the owners very friendly and helpful and otherwise everything was as we were led to believe it would be.
There is absolutely no doubt that were we to return to Victoria this would be our first choice for accommodation
This beautifully decorated and well situated loft was the best-ever experience my son and I have had with VRBO. It is truly a family affair once one arrives: each of the owners bends over backward to make sure all aspects of one's stay are first-rate. The furnishings, appliances and cleanliness of the loft are of a luxury class and the loft itself, situated right on the Victoria boardwalk, is decidedly the nicest area of town. I highly recommend this stay.
The pictures DO NOT do this place justice!! You honestly cannot overstate how great this loft is! It is in the best location to everything and just cool! the outside area is so peacefull and the owners are just fantastic to meet and work with. We cannot wait to stay here again.
My aunts and I were in Victoria for a long weekend. We had a terrific stay at Mermaid Wharf. The location is a short walk to everything downtown and being on the water was fabulous...loved watching the rowers going by every morning. The condo was larger than I had imagined and we had tons of room for 4 of us. Everything we needed was there and Francis and Toivo who care for the condo were so lovely and accomodating. Very clean and comfortable and even though it is close to the bridge we all remarked on how quiet and peaceful it was. Made for a great stay, thanks so much!
