I grew up spending summers in Harbor Springs, and I as grew older, my time here expanded into fall and winter; I wouldn’t have a second home anywhere else! My wife and I come up whenever we can, enjoying the company of our “Michigan friends,” dining and shopping, surrounding ourselves with the natural beauty of northern Michigan, and the poignancy that is Harbor Springs. We are both active people, and our condominium is our base of operations for cycling, running, kayaking, swimming and skiing. We are so happy to share it with others, whether it is their first visit to Harbor Springs, or their next one!
The Owner purchased this condo in 2009
My family has always owned a summer home in Harbor Springs, so when prices became more attractive, it was the right time to buy my own place. I looked at many condominiums and this was the best! Bay Springs is only a five-minute walk from downtown’s restaurants and shops, but just beyond the noise and traffic. The property is surrounded by mature pines, evergreen and birches, complimenting the traditional architecture and landscaping. Our unit faces Bay Street, so it has a glimpse of the harbor and bay, and it has the largest floor plan of the 12 units. The previous owners completely remodeled and furnished the condo, repainted all surfaces, added crown moldings and lighting, electronics and appliances, and the fabrics they selected are simply exquisite. It was as if our decorator and contractor found it just before we did!
Quiet and cozy. When you’re inside, you are instantly at home. The furniture is perfect for nesting and relaxing, comfortably filling the rooms without overflowing them. Downstairs is perfect for entertaining, with friends spilling onto the deck, while others steal away upstairs to enjoy quiet time by themselves. The cable TV and Wi-Fi make it easy to stay plugged into the world, and the multi-function printer increases productivity when you need it. Most cars stay up on Main Street one block away, leaving only walkers, runners and cyclists on Bay Street. On pleasant days, open windows let the breeze in, and when it turns warm or cold, the HVAC, ceiling fans and fireplace keep you comfortable. The wind through the pine trees outside is so peaceful at night. We're adding local artwork almost every visit - most recently an original Virgil Haynes print this fall - and we’re always looking for nice pieces to include.
