You can be in a spectacular villa (which this is), you can have a beautiful pool (which this has -- dark blue tiles!), you can have a swell hot tub (which this has, complete with a view), you can have a pergola outdoor bed (which I took pictures of to recreate at home), you can have so many outdoor places to hang out that it takes all day to figure out which one to use, but the real killer app of Villa albatros is the staff that comes with the house. Our meals were exquisite (and I come from New York City with plenty of four-star restaurants), our bartender was at the ready (drinks served at the pool, at the hot tub), and just hugs everywhere from us to the staff, the staff to us. Everything we needed, wanted was taken care of within seconds and with true happiness. It was an unforgettable trip because of the four-star treatment of a staff that I wish I could have taken home with me.

The staff went above and beyond for us!! Took care of our every need!! The home was amazing! Location was perfect! The rooms were large and decorated beautifully! The food the chef prepared for us every day was delicious!! The vendors they used for our special events i.e. catamaran, massages, mariachi band, were perfect! Unfortunately I got sick the last day and andreas, the house manager, had a Dr there for me in 20 mins!! He even went to the pharmacy to get my prescription for me!! I could go on and on but I will just end by saying I cannot wait to return!

I just returned from 3 weeks at Villa albatros. It was, without doubt, my best vacation ever! The villa is lovely and the location wonderful. Close to restaurants, clubs, resorts, water sports (though andreas will arrange for them to come to you). Yet still far enough from all of that to feel peaceful and truly private. The view is just breathtaking, the house beautiful, homey and large enough for everyone to have their own space, the pool area large and comfortable. Everything is well maintained inside and out. But it is the staff that takes Villa albatros to an entirely new level. They go above and beyond and no detail is missed. Somehow, by the end of day 1, they knew exactly what everyone's preferences were and I found myself often wondering how they knew what I needed or wanted before I was even fully aware. It is uncanny how they anticipate your every need..walking off the beach one day wet and thirsty, there was Javier with towels and ice cold water. These types of moments happened every day! I was amazed at the lengths they went to to make us comfortable and happy. Andreas and Robert never tired of my endless questions and made everything seamless and perfect from the start of planning to my last day there. Andreas took care of absolutely every need from taxis, transfers, excursions, helping with meal planning, finding things to give us the comforts of home & so much more! Lupita and Rosita made us a delicious breakfast and kept the villa spotless, Gamaliet is a wonderful chef. We rarely dined outside the villa. Enrique is somehow always there the second you need him and Javier, was, by far, the best waiter I have ever encountered anywhere. But it is more than how well they do their jobs...it is the pride, care, and joy they do those jobs with that sets them apart. When I departed, I felt as though I left a group of wonderful friends behind!
I highly recommend the villa. My only hesitation is that spreading the word may make it hard for me to book again!

The house and the property are fantastic, but anyone can see that from the website and pics. Its the attention to detail and the staff that make this house perfect for a dream vacation. Javier, Andreas, & Del Fino are the front men for making your stay relaxing, enjoyable and effortless. The food was outstanding, and our every request was met with an immediate accommodation. I have some picky eaters in my family...and each one of them describe this as their best vacation ever. Thank you Villa albatros. We will be back!

An Experience of a Lifetime

A picturesque venue with attentive staff and management, Villa albatros hosted our dream Wedding on June 9, 2012.

Photos do not capture how spacious and beautiful this villa really is. The common areas are built on a monumental scale yet feel proportional and intimate. The authentic stained glass from early 20th century Mexican churches, together with vaulted brick ceilings and marble floors, gives the villa an other-worldly feel that spans centuries. Villa albatros is an ideal mix of sun, fun, and class and elegance.

What makes the villa so special is the people. Robert, the owner, was twice on site to meet with us to ensure that everything was okay. Andreas, the property manager and event coordinator, was amazing and a trooper. Despite having had stitches during our visit, he was almost always on site, ensuring that all the wedding planning was being executed. In fact, we saw him personally setting up much of the wedding decor. He also brought a small army of labor to transform the villa into a dream wedding venue. All of that was on top of the hard work he did with us planning out the wedding and contacting vendors. He managed to take a vision described through emails and digital photos and transform it into a real-life dream wedding. Finally, the day-to-day staff (the maids and guards) are fantastic. They keep the villa spotless at all hours of the day and night, which is no small feat when you have a dozen plus revelers enjoying the Caribbean sun (and Mexican beer).

Because of the fantastic physical structure, and the first-class staff, Villa albatros was an amazing venue, and the perfect setting for a once in a lifetime event. It's obvious that the ownership and staff truly care about giving you an experience you will never forget, and which no 5 star resort could ever match.

We can't recommend Villa albatros, Robert, Andreas, and the entire staff highly enough. Our words are inadequate to describe the wonderful memories we have.
