Charming Chalet - Kid Friendly - Close to Everything - Green

Rustic accents and lots of wood gives this knotty pine chalet a true Tahoe feel. This is a great cabin for a family getaway or adult time away. You will be close to everything, and be able to come home to quiet for a good night's sleep. There is a wood burning stove to keep you cosy in the winter and a deck with a covered hot tub where you can watch the snow come down overhead and a table and chair for outdoor dining. The cabin has a flat screen TV in the loft and another downstairs. The master bath has a steam shower, and the 2nd bath has a tub shower. The home is stocked with games, books, and videos for the family.

Year round, the casinos and concerts are a 5 minute drive. In the summer, the cabin is a short bike ride or walk from the Tahoe Keys beach and harbor. There is a designated bike path that will take you to Camp Richardson, Pope, Kiva, and Baldwin beaches.

You are within a 30 minute drive to Emerald Bay, Fallen Leaf Lake, and Sand Harbor (which has fantastic outdoor summer entertainment.) In the winter, you will be a 30 minute drive of the best ski resorts on the lake, including Heavenly, Sierra, and Homewood.

Raley's, Kmart, Blockbuster, and more are a short 5 minute drive.

This is a green cabin, with cork floors, energy efficient appliances, a tank less water heater, and green cleaning products.

Friendly South Lake Cabin

This is my 3rd time visiting this charming, spacious and beautiful cabin in South Lake Tahoe, and I love everything about it. It's great location puts you minutes away from Heavenly ski resort (the best views of Lake Tahoe without hiking up a backcountry mountain for at least 3 hours), and only a stones throw away from every other major ski resort in the Lake Tahoe area.
Most importantly the owners of this property are amazing, warm and friendly. The neighborhood is gorgeous and close to everything you could ever need or want while vacationing in Lake Tahoe. Close to the beach, close to the casinos, close to a plethora of great dining, and the neighbors themselves couldn't be more friendly.
The kitchen is huge and stocked with everything you need. And there's a nice hot tub which is great for relaxing after a day of skiing, hiking, or beach activities.
I really love staying there more than any other vacation home I've stayed at, and the fact that the owners and neighbors are such nice people really just adds to my experience. I highly recommend this home, and I know that anyone staying there will not be disappointed!

Great House for a family

We had a wonderful time at the house. It was close to everything and in a quiet neighborhood. We had 4 yound children with us (ages 3-11) and they loved playing in the snow covered yard, as well as just relaxing inside with a movie or board game. The house was clean and welcoming. We loved sitting out in the hot tub in the evenings to relax and watch the snow fall. Watching the snow fall during a storm was amaxing through the huge living room windows.I would recomend this house to anyone with a family who want to get away from it all but still be close to everything that South Shore has to offer.

A Real Jewel

What a lovely cabin! There was plenty of space to accommodate our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 children). The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed from cooking utensils, to pots & pans, dishes and cleaning supplies. There were plenty of linens - plush bath towels, swim towels & plenty of blankets. There were lots of books, games and puzzles as well as crayons & coloring books for the kids.

The cabin is in a great location surrounded by pines, with a large fenced yard. Really lovely and very clean. We plan to rent this cabin for our future Tahoe visits.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Watch Out For Wet Floor

The home is comfortable and well stocked. Could be cleaner, baseboards, many cobwebs. We got into the house and I happened to be the first one in and unfortunately I did not notice the very wet floor and down I went. I was wearing flip flops and a lot of water on a laminate floor is very slippery. So, I have a very bruised tail bone and I have asked the owner to speak with her cleaning folks and hopefully she did. We had three teenage exchange students with us and I am so thankful that it was not one of them that slipped. So, regardless of condition of home, I was in pain all weekend and am still today, 4 days later.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers
Owner's Response: Yes, please be assured the house keeping staff was alerted to all of the above mentioned. We take great pride in our home and in satisfying our guests. We have made every possible effort to both correct the problem and to compensate the guest for her inconvenience and misfortune.

Great time plenty of room

The place was great. We had plenty of room. The location was great right in Lake Tahoe. Gina got back to us right away when we had any questions. We hope we are lucky enough to stay there again.
