Brian and Linda live in North Carolina on the lovely Lake Norman. We love the lake area and have raised our 2 children to love the water. We purchased this house and loving restored it from the brink of destruction trying to preserve the historical character of this house as much as possible.

Linda and Brian Deblasio purchased this house in 2010

We fell in love with Beaufort South Carolina and the low country with its rich historical essence and hope you will too. There are over 25 restaurants in working distance of our home . .

This is a quaint historical town and there is so much to do and see. This area is so rich in history and there is a lot to explore. Just hop on your bike and enjoy restaurants, shopping and you can even go to the beach.

A Lovely Beaufort Cottage In Great Location

  • 5 of 5
I highly recommend this lovely restored historic Beaufort cottage. The owners are very easy to work with and their description and photos of property reflects reality. Our group this trip was three adults and we found everything clean, comfortable and in perfect working order. This cottage can easily accommodate a bigger family on vacation, as it lives larger. The home is on a quiet street and is an easy walk to all the sights and food on Bay Street and surrounding historic neighborhood. For down time, we relaxed on the screened porch and rocking chairs. Hunting Island Beach is nearby and the property owners provide a free car pass. We enjoyed the beach, sun, light house and gift shop both Saturday and Sunday mornings. We had delicious food and service at Saltus, Plum's, Burlap, and Q. For cooking at the cottage, there are many grocery stores close by. We would rock on the front porch and maximum our weekend plans. We packed a great mini vacation and family visit in a single weekend. Everyone had a wonderful time and regretted having to leave so soon. I would rent this cottage again. Thank you again to the owners for sharing their cottage with travelers.

We enjoyed exploring the historic district, strolling through downtown shops, and dining at excellent nearby restaurants, all withing walking distance. Be sure to take a walking tour to learn of the rich history of the area. Highly recommend.

Family Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5
I was looking to stay in Beaufort for our son's wedding. The house was much better than I expected. It was like living in 1895 with all the modern conveniences. My mother-in-law, father-in-law, two twenty-something daughters, my wife, myself and a daughter's dog stayed. The kitchen was well furnished. House very clean. TV included 15+ DVDs for movies taken in the Beaufort area.
Air conditioner was excellent. House was in a great location, easy to find.
Excellent communication with the owner before, DURING, and after the visit. Every time I sent an e-mail or text I received a very timely answer.
A 3-ring binder was in the house which anticipated all the questions we had during the visit.
Within 28 hours of our departure I received our security deposit back (unbelievably fast).
The owner is wonderful. If I were to stay in Beaufort again, I would definitely stay here again.

Beaufort stay was delightful!

  • 5 of 5
This house was in a very quiet neighborhood close to the main part of town. Everything was in excellent condition and the house would easily accommodate several people. The only "downside" was that the beds were doubles...obviously because that was all there was room for....The house was very clean and well maintained. There was wi-fi and a computer for guest use, and TV with a few channels (just like at our home). The kitchen was well appointed with all the appliances one could need. We used this house as a base to travel to Savannah, Charleston, Beaufort and several of the nearby Islands. We really appreciated the pass for Hunting Island and the travel and restaurant information available for us. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great Location, pet friendly

  • 4 of 5
We were really pleased with this home. It is located just a few blocks from Bay St. We were able to walk our dogs there every morning and evening. The fenced in back yard was awesome and the dogs loved it. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well supplied for eating and cooking[including a limited supply of spices], parking was convenient and ample, and the outdoor grill was excellent [bring your own charcoal, etc]. We never used the computer, but the Wi-Fi had excellent coverage. The screened in front porch is perfect for morning coffee and watching everyone going to work except us! The neighborhood is clean, well kept, and safe. The only non-excellent items was the living room furniture - not very comfortable for us. We would stay here again!

Family Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5
We just needed somewhere nice to stay for a family wedding in Beaufort. This place appeared to be adequate so we booked it. This place turned out to be so much better than we anticipated. My mother-in-law, my father-in-law, my husband, myself, and our dog all stayed at this house. There was more than enough space for all of us. The house was very clean and we found it to be very homey. The house was very easy to find and was within a short 15-20 minute drive from just about everything we needed to get to that weekend. Another thing that was nice was the house was within walking distance to the "downtown hotspots", but was far enough away on a private street that the "nightlife" did not keep us awake. This house became our home for the couple of days we stayed.
The owner was awesome! Anytime I sent an email or a text, the response I received was very prompt. There was a book on the dining room table when we arrived that gave the answer to every question you could imagine: places to eat, fun things to do, a little history about the house, and all pertinent information regarding our stay (heat, etc.). Within 3 days, I repeat 3 days after leaving, we received our security deposit back. The owner is courteous, professional, and it seems has thought of everything to make a short or long stay in Beaufort, one to remember.
My In-Laws are still talking about how wonderful the house was and what a great location. Even the rest of the family who were staying at hotels and such kept saying what a wonderful place we had found and wanted to know how we found it.
Our next trip to Beaufort, we will stay here again. We have no desire to even look for anywhere else because we were so happy here. The description online and the pictures posted online, do not do this place justice. It is so much more...you just have to experience it for yourself!
