We completely enjoyed our first trip to Key West in March '11 as a family (7 adults, one 2yr old); and we are already planning to come back next year. The house was very accommodating and comfortable, not to fussy, just comfy. It was quiet in the middle of the most popular area, and convenient enough to ride bicyles to all of the stores, beach, groceries, even the E/R. The home was clean and welcoming to all with help yourself to everything attitude of the owner.
Only "pickie" thing for us was that it was loud with all of the hard ceramic floors on the main level and with 7 of us it got a little busy; upstairs you could shut the noise out. All of the rooms are large and you didnt feel 'closed in' with balconies at the front and the back of each of the bedrooms with awesome views. The younger ones really enjoyed the swing over the pool and the water was nice and warm. Kitchen was great to cook meals and multiple people could be in the kitchen at the same time. Great stereo system inside and out, definately a party house with room on the couches if you have visitors stop by to crash.
Not so excited about the Green Parrot (very close by) but Sloppy Joes (on Duval) was great music and atmosphere and the shopping was just a few blocks away. The beach at the nature preserve behind the house was very nice, clean, and quiet. Great for our 2 year old who was completely eveloped with the sand, water, and people. Ron Kelley's assistant Alecia was very easy to deal with for our personal needs.
Thanks for a memorable holiday. Hope to come back in 2012!
