Memorial day weekend

We rented the 2 bedroom beachfront condo for Memorial Day weekend. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again! Since this is a "review", I will list what we felt were the pros and cons of the complex and the unit.
Pros: condo was spotless when we arrived; large windows make for an impressive view; it is in the best location in the complex, with pool and beach access just steps away; the newly remodeled pool area is lovely; the grounds are immaculately kept; the unit has been updated (new tile, applianes, and renovated bathrooms); the laundry room is nearby, the guarded complex meant that even on a holiday the pool and beach were not crowded at all, the condo was exactly as advertised, Julie was very pleasant to work with; beach items are provided; complex is quiet
Cons: the front parking lot was under construction, so we had to park further away (hardest during arrival and departure); there is no covered parking; the trundle bed is not very comfortable; previous renters had scratched the pots and pans, so the nonstick coating was peeling (making some of them unusable), we needed more room for our groceries (fridge was spacious, but counter space and cabinets are limited. A mobile island with usable counter top and shelves beneath would have been perfect!) In our case, there were 5 adults and we cooked all but one meal while there so most ppl probably wouldn't even notice some of these things...
All in all, I would highly recommend this condo for your next South Padre stay! Much nicer than a hotel (and more economical, since you can eat in.)
