House, 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Classic Mid Century Palm Springs Home with lush tropical grounds. A total renovation of the backyard was completed by owners in early 2010 as well as a significant investment recently to create a premier vacation destination. Large pool/fireplace/bar/Wi-Fi and two kitchens complete for the chef that is ready to cook! The family or friends that come to stay will have complete privacy. If the kids want to run around, or you want to sun bath topless the option is happily and privately yours. Extensive lawn (great for families) surrounded with palm trees, Hibiscus, Gardenia and Arabian Jasmine. The fruit bearing trees include; grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime and figs. The privacy of the hedges and new fencing along with the lush landscaping has literally created a tropical oasis in the desert with dramatic mountain views.

In order to create a premier vacation rental the owners installed new beds, new mattresses, brand new Egyptian cotton linens (500 thread count), new cookware, 6 new chaise lounges, extra-large Egyptian cotton beach towels, new pool table, 2 new flatscreen TVs, iPod stereo/CD and many other brand new items. For those traveling with infants, we have 2 pack & play cribs available and a highchair.

The cab ride into the heart of Palm Springs is 3 minutes and the Fresh and Easy grocery store is down the street. We have a welcome folder full of our favorite restaurants, shops, thrift stores, tram rides and moped rentals. The neighborhood is lovely for morning walks and peaceful evenings. There are many bars, casinos, shopping and a beautiful museum all right at your fingertips, if you choose to leave the grounds.

The attached Casita has a king bed in the main room, two singles in connecting room, full bathroom, full separate kitchen and separate entrance. A family of four can comfortably sleep together in the casita while another 6 sleep in the main house. In total there are three king beds, one queen and two twins. If you're looking for a lush oasis in the desert that has been significantly updated and is new to the rental market, you have found your destination. Just minutes from retail shops and restaurants of downtown Palm Springs. We will be more than happy to answer any of your questions and hope that you will consider Oasis at Mesquite as your next getaway

Perfect Rental Home for a Group

Our group of 8 included 3 couples and 2 singles. This house was a prefect fit and everyone loved it. The house has a great layout with different areas to relax, watch TV, play pool, or enjoy the fire inside and a very large private backyard to enjoy outside.

The house is even better in person than in the photos. It’s well maintained and very clean with nice linens and plenty of towels. Randall was great to work with and prompt with handling the details before and after our rental.

I highly recommend this house and hope to stay here again in the future.

Great get away house for a group.

Great house, back yard and pool area. Worked great for 4 couples. Location was good and convenient.
House was clean and kitchen well stocked to able guest to cook if they so choose.
Randall was true to his word with every detail. We would definitely recommend this to a large group visiting Palm Springs.

Sibling Reunion

My siblings and spouses have rented houses for the last three years in the Palm Springs area. This by far has been the best house for our group. The house was as expected, beautiful and clean. My sister and her husband have children that live in the LA area that were able to visit for a weekend. The casita was perfect for them as they have a small child. House has a wonderful layout. We enjoyed lounging in family room in evening after a nice cooked dinner in the home. There are two grocery stores that are fairly close if you need groceries. Two brothers are avid golfers, so their time was spent on the greens, which were in abundance all around us. Fortunate for the rest of us, the weather was beautiful, so started out each day with coffee by the pool, then on to breakfast or lunch. The Rock Garden, (our favorite now) is in walking distance. Randall, the owner was a pleasure to work with. The ad perfectly describes this retreat. We hope it is available again next year when we again travel to Palm Springs. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Our only regret was the following Saturday when we all had to leave.

A Must Rental!

If I could pick this house up and relocate it to my hometown I would.

Here's why we loved it:
1) It's centrally located off the downtown strip, and very walking friendly.
2) The yard, pool, and view of the mountain is an oasis in and of itself.
3) It's super spacious for whatever configuration of friends and family you're bringing together. Perfect for a family gathering, perfect for kids, and perfect for the mid-century-modern-hipster set.
4) It's possible to have people hanging by the pool, some quietly reading on a comfy couch, and others having a raucous gathering in the dining/kitchen area - it was all possible.
5) Lastly, the fruit trees. I think we lucked out with the season. Pomelos for breakfast, oranges for lunch, and lemons in almost everything else. Fun!

This house is perfect!

Great House and location

Great house in a great location. Really comfortable and nicely appointed. Perfect for two families who want some separation as the layout really affords privacy. We had 3 kids ages 6,7 & 8 with us and the yard and pool and pool table were fun for them. Owner was easy to work with. Would stay here again.
