We arrived Eurostar after our trip of Paris and found this lovely apartment a wonderful choice even the tea and biscuits was a site for tired eyes, many many sites right on our doorstep was amazing. With this in mind we were able to very easily and safely walk most places and the underground station is also next door to the apartment for further afield. We felt like neighbours to the queen and the prime minister.

This was our first time staying at an apt in Europe and we were a bit nervous about doing so. However everything went smoothly. The apartment was very nice and the location was superb. The staff was helpful and responsive to our every need. We could not have asked for a better experience and hopefully will return again to stay at this apt in the near future. The apartment was convenient to everything a tourist could need or ask for; tube, bus lines, wide variety of eating choices all within easy walking. Plus have St James so close for a morning stroll could not be beat. Loved our stay!

Best location in town

Best location in town

We (my wife and I, and our youngest grandchild) had a wonderful time in London in October 2014, enjoying the attractions far and near, especially near, such as feeding the squirrels in St. James’s Park and watching the imposing procession in connection with a state visit. The apartment is very functional, and I cannot imagine a better location for our purposes.

However, there are a few points which you should notice. Some of them we were prepared for, others not:
- The procedure in connection with the rental is somewhat bureaucratic – we were prepared for that, having visited London several times during the last few years. Britain is bureaucratic, and is growing more and more so.
- The windows, especially the in the sitting room, are not fitting tightly, so with a strong wind outside it is rather windy inside, too. We were prepared for that, too. British windows are like that.
- However, we were not prepared for the terrible smell that met us at the arrival and threatened to make the apartment uninhabitable. Fortunately we could locate it to a bottle with some sticks in it and neutralize it within a plastic bag.
- And it came as a surprise for me that we have not so far (end of December) received our deposit back. It seems that we must write off the amount. There was no explanation, and I am at a loss to guess what it can have been. We did not break anything, and we left the apartment neat and tidy.

All this is details that did not diminish in any way our enjoyment of the stay.

Thank you so very much for the 4 star rating and taking the time to submit your review on your stay at my apartment and know from your comments left here and in the guest book you your wife and young grandchild thoroughly enjoyed your recent stay in Central London.
As with the many other guests who have stayed at my apartment over many years you too have scored the property highly. I am however a little puzzled with a couple of comments made by you and with every courtesy feel it only appropriate to respond:
My Lime, Basil & Mandarin Scent Surround Reed Diffuser you located in the bathroom is best described as being an understated classic fragrance - And quite expensive. Obviously everyone to their own preference re, room scents, but do feel your assertion that it was overpowering etc, just a little overly dramatic.
Likewise your reference to "the wind" outside. Being in Central London we don't get much wind. No other guests have ever commented on this before. The windows are sealed metal units and do not move or rattle.
For reasons unknown you opted not to pay via VRBO yet said you would prefer to pay for the cost of your stay direct into my bank account. You will appreciate I have no control over the way the banks deal with overseas payments and if their system (here in the UK and in Denmark) is overly bureaucratic it is unfortunately out of my control. I do recommend guests use the VRBO "Pay Now".
Finally, am upset with mention of the deposit. 48 hours after leaving the apartment this was returned (as requested by you by bank transfer) to your nominated bank account. I have proof of payment of file and am puzzled why you've not reached out to me for this information or acknowledged safe receipt. I have contacted you separately to supply you with this info.
I am grateful for you choosing to stay at my apartment and that you enjoyed your time and for your four star rating. I look forward to welcoming you and your family back to London sometime soon. Warm Regards Lizzy (& Marc).

Great place to stay in London

We stayed for four nights in October and loved everything. It is so convenient to all the sites and public transportation. Everything was exactly as stated in the description and pictures. Appreciated that we could drop off our luggage early while the apartment was being cleaned for us. Would highly recommend and hope to return to explore more of this wonderful city! Great apartment in a great location!

We were really amazed that our fun started even before we reached the apartment. The location is really excellent. It's within walking distance to the famous spots in London and the apartment was neat and well-kept. Our kids, who never showed the slightest inclination to history, got a crash course in English history as we toured around. I really love this place and would recommend it to all.

GREAT EXPERIENCE, WONDERFUL APARTMENT

We had such a wonderful stay at this apartment and we would highly recommend it: the location is absolutely perfect, we have the St. James tube station just around the corner and we can walk to a great number of major touristic attractions, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square, London Eye… The apartment is comfortable, quiet, clean, well equipped and beautiful, and we were very close to pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and stores.
It’s impossible to find a better place to stay in Central London - we would definitely stay here again next time and would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing the best possible experience in this charming, modern and classic city!
