This house is cozy and comfortable. The perfect place for a group of friends on a weekend get away, a romantic night for two, or a longer vacation with the family. The location of this house can accommodate the thrill seeker, shopper, and couch potato.
If interested please contact Sheridan or Marie. We look forward to you staying with us.
My wife and I both lived in this home for 2 years before having to move to Broomfield Colorado. We bought in Georgetown because we both loved the view. This little town is nestled in between a canyon and the rock formations that surround it are breath taking. It is also right by Clear Creek which makes for great fishing and hiking.
We love Clear Creek. The rapid running water during the months of May and June are quite a sight and sound. We also love Guanella pass, located right behind Georgetown. The pass is beautiful, great for hiking, mountain biking, and can get you to some of Colorado's 14er's. The mountain goats, bighorn sheep, elk, and mule deer are also a fantastic sight to see.
Had a great time at your place. Great diving board for fun things to do. Spacious, clean, and comfortable.
3 couples wanting to spend a night in Georgetown and spend some time at a valued work account for 2 of the couples (Lucha Cantina - definitely a must go for all visitors of Georgetown!) We appreciated being able to stay just one night and also being able to bring our dog! It was so nice finding a place that could accommodate all of us for the same price (or less) than a couple of simple motel rooms. The home was comfy and we were able to easily walk to the 'Main St' of Georgetown that houses Lucha (in the old Red Ram building). It might be a little more of a trek in Wintertime, but was not bad at all in Summer. The whole process was simple and painless and the home seemed to have everything one would need ... since we were only staying a night, we really only utilized the home for sleeping and showering but no complaints here about either of those aspects! :) Thanks for the hospitality and we will definitely keep you in mind for our next visit!
Awesome location, nice house, great host . 3 days of boarding at The Legend priceless
My family of 6 arrived in Georgetown on Friday, December 20 and we immediately fell in love with the town and house. We chose Georgetown due to it's proximity to Loveland Ski Area and it's small town feel. This house was great and had everything we needed. The house was clean and well stocked and was a great place to warm after day of adventure. While in Georgetown we took advantage of shopping downtown, the city ice rink, the Georgetown Park, and the Georgetown Railroad. Due to Georgetown's location, we also spent time in Silverthorne/Dillon and another day at Copper Mountain.
While walking to downtown was a bit long for two toddlers, the house was well situated for a short drive to everything. The park is great for little ones, and the town even created a free ice rink at the local baseball field, which my kids absolutely loved. If you're into good food in Georgetown, make sure to eat at Lucha Cantina.
All in all, I would recommend this house and town for anyone looking for a wonderful little town and close proximity to all of the major ski areas and resorts.
Had a great time at Georgetown. The house handled our family of six (three adult couples) very nicely. Two bathrooms was great. The main living area was just right and the blueray with Netflix was an added benefit. Smart phone did not get internet and we didn't get good phone service it was great! The beds were some what hard to sleep on but so are most hotel beds for me my kid sleep fine. All in all a good house for a family trip. Thanks for sharing it with us.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. It was just as described in the pictures with lots of room, a large kitchen table and comfortable furniture. Excellent value for the price! Would definitely stay here again.
There are train rides in Georgetown and mining tours nearby. Georgetown offers several shops including an icecream shop, rock shop, and restaurants - some of them offer free wifi and a great breakfast. There is a workout facility in Idaho Springs, Idaho Springs Rec Center, that also has an indoor pool and hot tub. If the weather is nice there is a basketball court outside the Idaho Springs Rec Center as well. There are also hot springs in nearby Idaho Springs. Guennella Pass starts right there in Georgetown and has great views. Check out the visitor center for directions on where to go.
