We have stayed here for two years for our girl week-end and we all call it "our cabin". The property has everything and is very well kept. We just relax and catch up, very relaxing!
Had a nice little 2 day get-a-way with my wife and another couple and their 2 small children. The cabin is spacious and the owner took the time to make you feel right at home upon entering. The 6 of us enjoyed the beach and especially the pool, play ground and cornhole board game.
The amenities that come along with the cabin itself are fantastic! If you want to fish, canoe, paddle boat, play basketball arcade games (my high score was 75! ) or just lounge on the back deck its all there for your enjoyment!
Thanks again for the lovely stay. Would highly recommend this property to other fellow Ohioans.
This was the best place we could have asked for to celebrate Easter and a family birthday! This year my boyfriend was celebrating his 50th birthday and the kids and I wanted to do something special. We decided to rent a house not far from home (about an hour) for the weekend. The place was plenty big for 3 adult couples and two younger children (ages 9 and 12). All the amenities were there - from towels and kitchen supplies (perfect for an Easter dinner) to tons of indoor and outdoor entertainment. The kids loved the loft area with the basketball and tv. Although we were there in early spring the weather was nice enough to go out on the boat (you are right on the lake) and enjoy the hot tub. The kids had fun coloring eggs on the back deck and our two dogs that we brought loved the space to run around (thank goodness for the dog run).
We were lucky to stay Easter Weekend. The community organization had a fantastic pancake breakfast and Easter Egg hunt on Saturday with plenty of candy for the kids and great prizes. Everyone we met in the community was friendly and neighborly - even letting us borrow a couple eggs after we realized we boiled all of ours!
Overall we had a great experience and Kim was fantastic to work with. She responded back promptly to all the questions we had and was proactive in communicating information about the home. We also received our deposit back in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend staying here - we even talked about coming back for an annual family gathering.
We stayed here for our annual 'girls' trip. We were pleasantly surprised with the serenity of this lake cabin. We are typical 'beach' vacationers, but we really enjoyed the lake retreat this year. The cabin was spacious, clean, and well stocked - we only brought groceries and personal items. The TV/DVD/Video collection could use a slight update, we were able to watch a few movies but they were all on VHS and (unfortunately) the Wizard of Oz VHS wasn't working. Not a big deal at all! There was so much to do during the day we weren't sitting inside very much anyway. We had 3 small children with us (a two year old and two 5 month old infants) so we spent a lot of time out on the back porch overlooking the lake. Neighbors floated by on their boats and waved to us from their boats, and we even ventured in the paddleboat around part of the lake and waved to even more friendly neighbors. As far as sightseeing, there's not too much to do right around the area of the cabin, you would have to drive a pretty far way to get to Cleveland sightseeing. We did drive around some of the Amish farm areas and even stopped by a few roadside fruit & vegetable stands. All in all, it was a very nice location, and the cabin was in great shape. We used the hot tub and hopefully can plan another trip in the summer to take advantage of the community pool area also.
