Beautiful and welcoming home away from home
My friends and I spent a perfect week in this lovely home. We are a group of old friends who now live in different parts of the country but who vacation together every year. This home is located in a wonderful, residential neighborhood, just a few houses from the uncrowded town beach. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and all the homes are well-maintained. In addition to the cathedral-ceilinged great room inside, there is a large screened porch and a lovely outside deck - all wonderful gathering places for meals, board games or visiting. Among us, there are indiviudals "addicted" to gourmet cooking, swmming, sunbathing, facebook, reading and sleeping late. This rental accommodated each of us very well as the kitchen is well-appointed, there is wireless access throughout and, of course, the beach is just steps away. Just a mile or two down the road is the Hampton Beach area with lots of shops and casual beach restaurants, bars and hotels. Every week, there are fireworks on the beach and its enjoyable to get out and check out the town. Just a short distance in the opposite direction is the The Beach Plum, a wonderful seafood and ice cream stand right across from the beach. We also took easy day trips to the charming towns of Portsmouth NH and Newburyport, MA The owner of this property is far more gracious than would be expected in a rental situation. In fact, our stay was more like a visit a friend's home than a business arrangement.
