This beautiful house may be the best deal in Revelstoke, if you need 4 bedrooms and are planning to ski RMR. It really *is* walking distance from the resort - a bit uphill in the morning but downhill going home. (Children will need to be ferried to/from the slopes.) The house is quite attractive and well-maintained and is both comfortable and convenient. It has nice places to spread out and nice places to get together (including a huge dining table). The kitchen is excellent, the fireplace works (and there is wood for it), the jacuzzi is perfect. It is true that the downstairs bedroom gets a bit cold at night, although extra covers help.
The house is set back from the road, which gives it a private and serene feeling. However that does make it hard to find, when you come to it for the first time.
The resort bus from RMR does go into the Revelstoke village, which means you could manage without a car, if necessary. However, food shopping would be cumbersome, so I cannot recommend it without a car.
All in all, it's a gem sitting next to a great ski hill!

It is so refreshing to be pleasantly surprised when renting a vacation home and this one was A+ Fabulous! After our drive up from Seattle we were able to pull both cars under the covered load/unload space right outside the front door and off-load our gear. (That was so great cuz it was snowing tons and none of our stuff got wet). A huge heated boot room with space for everyone's gear (we had 9 people) was located just inside the front door, so easy to drop the ski gear and continue in with our aprie ski bags to the bedrooms. Usually we have a great debate and lots of negotiating for who gets the best bedrooms but this house erased all that with big, spacious bedrooms equipped with the coziest of bedding and a variety of bed arrangements, queen beds, bunk beds and singles, giving us a fun opportunity to pick roommates! The gathering rooms of this home are all HUGE! The kitchen has a big center island that you can pull stools up to and chat and chop at the same time! The floorplan between the kitchen, dining and living rooms is open so everyone can flow between the rooms and conversations easily. Standard operating procedure for our group was to come home after skiing and hop into the hot tub for a good long soak (and yes, all 9 of us could fit - we are a cozy group), showers and then BBQ a crazy good dinner, sit down at the dining room table for our feast and then slide over to the living room for a fierce fire and more fun conversation. On movie night, we would all head downstairs to the rec room and snuggle on the comfy couches and watch our favorite flicks. So often I find that rental homes are so tight that the people in our group, be it family or friends, feel like we are climbing on top of each other to move about and that makes for some claustrophobic catastrophes which can put a damper on a vacation. This home is large enough and well laid out that everyone had space when they needed it and togetherness when they wanted it. We had a great time. (I sort of hate doing this review cuz I don't want the house to get so booked that we have trouble rebooking but I was so pleasantly impressed that I thought I owed it to the owners). Plus they were great to work with, super attention to detail in our booking process and the maintenance of their home. Have fun!!!

This home is fantastic for a ski getaway with friends and family or both. Very spacious with all the amenities anyone could wish for in a home away from home in the mountains. Everything from the heated boot room to the hot tub and sauna, fabulously comfortable beds, large gathering spaces for cooking and enjoying the company you are with. If not for the fantastic skiing that Revelstoke has in store, it would be hard to leave the house in the morning and it is a joy to return to at the end of your ski day. One of our best rental experiences anywhere ever!
