The condo and location were exactly what I expected from the photos I viewed before booking the condo. Condo was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Pillow top mattresses looked new and were very comfortable. Size of the condo was perfect for us as grandparents and children and their children. Office personnel were friendly and helpful. Loved the sunrise and sunset from the balconies. Owner was very helpful in answering questions and helping set up reservations before we left. Kids enjoyed the pool and distance to the beach was very easy to walk. Beach was very clean and waves were just perfect sized for kids to surf a little while we were there. Wonderful, relaxing trip I would recommend to everyone. I did wish the umbrellas and beach chairs on the beach belonged to the condo complex. It was a rude awakening to get comfortable in them, then have someone appear out of nowhere to ask for $25.00 for a day's usage. Other people on the beach had brought their own chairs and umbrellas, and I understood why. Might be worth investing in some if you don't want to pay the $25.00 per day fee. We thoroughly enjoyed Schlitterbaun while there. Recommend Daddy's Restaurant and Blackbeard's Restaurant. Didn't explore any others; we were there for a short visit and picked restaurants off the main strip. Saw some others behind the strip; they looked bigger and more pricey. Also ate in restaurant advertising best mexican food in So. Padre on the strip (don't remember name), two story blue bldg. Food was excellent and most reasonably priced we visited.
