Step into the mountains. This 3 bedroom hand hewn log home has all the charm of a true mountain home with log home furnishings to boot. High, open beam ceilings, antler lighting, stone fireplaces, the smell of the logs, and the spirit of the old west.
Located in Pine Hills, you have privacy on this 2 acre parcel at the end of a cul de sac. Wrap around decks offer incredible sunrises and sunsets. Chairs and couches are scattered around the decks to follow the sun and whatever mood you are in.
As you walk in the front door, you are greeted with a large, floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Over the open living area hangs an antler chandelier that lights up the lodge decor chairs facing the fireplace. Lots of time will be spent enjoying the fire and views from the living area.
The kitchen and dining area face the main room. This is a chefs kitchen with stainless appliances, 2 sinks, gas stove and lots of counter space including a table in the middle of the kitchen. The counters are custom made of purple heart wood. Log bar stools surround the counters which offer another eating area or just a place to watch the chefs.
The dining table expands to hold 8 and is next to a stone gas fireplace. You can view the fire from anywhere in the great room or kitchen. It makes for great ambiance while dining or cooking.
Off the dining are are French Doors that exit out to the backyard with wraparound deck and water feature. Deer and wildlife are abundant and its often you can watch them while sitting on the deck. Afternoon BBQ's and sunsets make this part of the house a gathering spot.
Next to the kitchen is a bedroom/TV/Sunroom with single futon Chair, stone wood burning fireplace, and is lined with windows that look out to the side fenced yard and backyard. You can spend all day here.
Down the hall is a full bathroom, and large Master Bedroom. It has a queen bed, flat screen TV, and lots of floor space. The 'spa' room is off of this and has a stone shower, sauna, and 2 person jetted tub and candle fireplace. The tub is surrounded by windows so in the wintertime you can open the windows are pretend you're outside.
Up the stairs is another large bedroom with King bed, and 9 ft corner group that can be used for extra sleeping. A frame ceilings and open beams will give you a great nights sleep. Down the hall is a full bathroom, and loft with 2 twin beds. All the bedding is designer or custom and comfort has been a priority.
Raining...snowing...just want to cuddle up in a blanket and sit in an Adirondack by the fire? Head to the covered front deck for another wood burning fireplace. You can sit here and watch the weather do its thing with the warmth and atmosphere of sitting inside.
This is not your typical vacation rental, nor will you have a typical time staying at this home.
You will really feel like you're on a vacation here, and you can't help but leaving feeling relaxed.
