OCOTILLO OASIS: YOUR PRIVATE OASIS IN OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOR

We had a terrific time at Ocotillo Oasis. We spent 8 nights at the house. The two rooms inside the house were large and very comfortable. And the casita, which is attached to the house, also was good size and had its own bathroom. The living areas were comfortable, and we wore out the flat screen TV watching the NCAA tournament. We had a party of 16 for dinner one night and had plenty of room.

The highlight of the house is the backyard area. It features an outstanding pool along with a unique array of fountains, pots, chairs, etc..Beautiful landscaping. It even had a koi pond. We loved drinking our morning coffee out there, and then relaxing under the sun in the afternoon with a view of the mountains.

We liked the location. Only a couple of minutes to downtown Palm Springs, which we enjoyed immensely. Also, a great place for coffee nearby.

Finally, a word about Ralph. If we needed anything, Ralph was right there. He brought over a table and extra chairs for our dinner. He couldn't have been nicer.

All in all, we give an enthusiastic thumbs up for Ocotillo Oasis. We hope to return one day soon.

What an amazing curation! What a special place! Everything - from the DVD collection to the framed photos to the universal remote to the amazing deco lamp base with the silver sphere in the garden to the koi pond - were beyond amazing. It really made my birthday a treat. I hope to stay there again in the future!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ocotillo Oasis house. We were greeted with a large basket of goodies to enjoy during our stay and a backyard to die for. The pictures do not do it justice. The yard has many fruit trees that had ripe oranges and grapefruit. To wake up and make fresh squeezed juice, and have a hot tub with the mountains surrounding you, is heavenly. The yard and pool area are so private. You have stone walls around the property with only mountains in your view beyond the yard. The lush landscaping only adds to the beauty around you.

The hot tub and pool are crystal clear and the jets on the spa are so therapeutic. They are much stronger than our jets at home. It is a great way to gear up for the day or wind down after a day of golf, sightseeing, or hiking.

This house is so close to the main drag in Palm Springs where you will find numerous restaurants and art galleries. The Art Museum was wonderful. We were also minutes from great hiking trails. There are so many golf courses near by as well, and you can’t beat the weather.

Inside the house you have great cooking facilities. Good quality pots and so many dishes, you can wait a while before needing to turn on the dishwasher. The rooms all have their unique qualities with lovely antique furniture. Every room has its own bathroom, and they are well separated from each other. The mattresses were wonderful. There are so many historic Palm Springs photos around the house. You are constantly discovering new things at every turn. If you play music, the grand piano is a real treat to have available for your playing pleasure. Then if you want to chill at night, there is a collection of all the Oscar winners to play on the large flat screen TV in the livingroom with comfy leather sofas to sink into and enjoy a glass of wine or spirits.

I highly recommend staying at this rental house. You will not find another rental quite like this one. The owner is always helpful in answering any questions you may have. He wants to please. He wants you to have a wonderful experience, and you will. You won’t want to leave.
