We stayed here for a long fall weekend, and were very pleased. The house is just as described on the website. There were no surprises. The house is sunny and spacious. There are two large bedrooms right off the great room (living room + kitchen), with a master bedroom up a set of loft stairs. The house was spotless and ready for us to immediately settle in & relax. There are some books and dvds provided, comfortable seating, and simple decor. There is a piano.
The emails leading up to our arrival were helpful and gave very clear driving instructions. When we arrived in the dark, the owner walked up from the main house to greet us and offer help if we needed unloading the van. Our deposit was returned promptly, with a nice note. We were treated more like guests than renters.
The house is set way back from the road so you feel like you're out in the country, but it is actually just a short ride to Rte. 23 and then to Rte. 7, the major roads you need for the southern Berkshires. One morning I watched a family of wild turkeys pick their way across the mown field outside the door.
