This newly renovated, light and spacious one bedroom apartment is located on the top floor of a small two storey walkup, (2 flights) character security block of just 12 apartments and overlooks the harbourside park at Rushcutters Bay on Sydney Harbour.

The bedroom has a Queen sized bed and is furnished with quality linen and has floor to ceiling built-in robes. There is also a ceiling fan in the bedroom, a Dyson fan and a heater for additional comfort . The fully equipped gourmet kitchen with gas/electric stove and granite benchtop, also houses an internal washer/dryer. The bathroom has hand made floor tiles, a full bath and shower. The living room is furnished to a high standard with has 2 X 2 couches. , and various original works of art. There is high speed wireless internet, a 60' 3D LCD television, cable TV. and a book library.

Check the location on Google Maps (Waratah St, Rushcutters Bay, Sydney), and as you will see, the location could not be better - quietly tucked away in a parkside setting, but yet within minutes of the hustle and bustle of mainstream Sydney. As you step out the front door, you are immersed in the bayside park scene with tennis club, marina, coffee shops, cafes and those fabulous Harbour views. The area is well serviced by Public transport and although you will not need it, there is on street parking at the door. Go-get share cars are located at either end of the street.

A short bus ride will take you to the CBD where you can explore historic “The Rocks” precinct, the Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the Opera House and the rest of the city/harbour sights. The apartment is also well within walking distance of all this with the CBD being just 2.1klms away. A short stroll will take you to the restaurant district on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, the nightlife hub of Kings Cross or across the park for breakfast on the marina of the Sydney Cruising Yatch Club or Bay 88 on the corner of the street OR for some serious shopping locally, at fashionable Oxford Street, Paddington or the Antique mecca of Queen Street, Woollahra. Some of the most famous beaches in Australia - such as Bondi, Bronte, Coogee etc. are only a short distance away by public transport.

The tariff includes access to the pantry basics and if you provide a list, the pantry can fully stocked, ready for your arrival. Airport transfers can also be arranged.

It was handy to transport when Bennet was going to University and close to the beaches, cafes and night life and all his other interests. It was easy to maintain while living on his own and yet large enough to have his friends over. The parklands on the doorstep and the safe locale were additional bonuses

So quiet on the harbourfront, yet in the middle of all the action - close proximity to the beaches, the City and good public transport, and still within walking distance to just about everywhere. It is the best.

Exquisite communications and support

Many world travels have afforded my wife and I the pleasure to stay in a range of accommodations. First arrivals in any one of the numerous countries visited always provides a bit of trepidation. Our trip to Australia would have followed the same path had it not been for the dutiful VRBO contact. Our typical anxiety turned to excitement with the gracious, informative, and expedited communications prior to our arrival. Simple travel questions were addressed and assurances were clarified. While the connecting bus services from Sydney airport was an adventure it delivered us a block from the apartment. A delightful friend of the owner assisted our entry into the apartment where we found a well appointed accommodation. One day of the usual local explorations and we relaxed into a five day stay. Near by bus and train access made inner city and area travel a breeze. The grocery and other markets were a short bus ride up the hill. We were able to round out the already present bread, milk, fruit and various sundries to our taste and liking. The facility was very user friendly and if a return visit to Australia arises this will be a our first stop.

Perfect apartment and convenient location

We had a perfect stay in this wonderful apartment. We loved that it was quiet and that it overlooks the beautiful park. We like to cook a lot of our own meals and the kitchen was perfectly equipped with a variety of pots and pans and even cooking spices and other essentials. Having the fresh bread and milk on the day we arrived was a nice touch as well. For only being a 1 bedroom apartment it is really much more spacious than I was expecting. The fans in the rooms as well as a wonderful cross breeze kept us cool even without any air conditioning. The recent renovations were much appreciated such as new carpet etc. If we ever get back to Sydney I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

This lovely apartment was in a great location and only a 15 minute walk to the King's Cross train station when you wanted to explore all the great attractions Sydney has to offer and there were nearby bus stops as well if you wanted to take the bus. There were great restaurants and pubs in the area and a market if you needed to get groceries. The apartment had a very comfortable bed and big screen TV and the washing machine was an added plus. We enjoyed walking around Rushcutters Bay Park and the beautiful boat harbor. Our hosts, Bennet and Laelie were quick to respond to any questions we had and recommendations for restaurants and places to go. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Wonderful Place to Stay

This comfortable, well-located apartment is the perfect place for a short- or long-term stay in Sydney. I arrived on December 1 and stayed for two months except for a brief period around New Year's when the apartment had already been booked. So it really became my home in Sydney, and I enjoyed every minute of being there. The apartment is spacious and nicely furnished. The wi-fi worked well, and there's a large-screen TV. The dining area has large windows overlooking beautiful Rushcutters Bay Park. The kitchen includes a washing machine, and an iron and ironing board are provided. The shower in the bathroom is excellent, and the bed comfortable. The apartment is very clean and well maintained. The location is excellent. Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, and bus and train connections are nearby. I enjoyed living there immensely and can highly recommend the apartment for a wonderful stay in Sydney.

Lovely Apartment In Good Location

We stayed here for eight nights. We chose the apartment because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. The location in Rushcutters Bay is excellent and we were able to walk into Sydney through the Botanic gardens. There are maps in the apartment showing the quickest routes into the city. It is clean, well kitted out and the wi-fi worked first time without any problem. You can even watch a cricket match on the park, from the apartment, at the weekend if you wish. We came over from England so were impressed that they had even provided a 'pay-as-you-go' mobile phone for our use while we were there. We have stayed in Sydney a couple of times before, but this apartment is the best we have had. We would highly recommend it.
