Within minutes of the Western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, this fabulous home nestled on a hillside overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake and Mt. Baldy is a short walk to the family-friendly village of Grand Lake where you can enjoy unique restaurants, galleries, shops and live entertainment. You'll also find family fun at the Grand Lake Bowling Alley or Miniature Golf.

The perfect winter getaway, you can snowmobile right from the house, or enjoy National Park trails on snowshoes or cross-country skis. Sol Vista ski area 25 minutes and Winter Park ski area 45 minutes and no mountain passes in between.

Also the perfect summer getaway, enjoy hiking, boating, golfing and fishing. The riding stables are a short walk down the road from the house, as are the go-cart track for the kids and the ATV rentals for the grown-ups. Wildlife is abundant both summer and winter, so bring your camera!

This four bedroom, three bath home offers expansive living, dining and kitchen area with a beautiful fireplace and a sunny loft and one bath on each level. Large windows and a comfortable front deck make this cabin a great place to relax and enjoy the mountain air with your friends and family. High speed internet Wi-Fi and satellite TV provided.

About The Owner

My husband and I have lived and traveled all over the world. Originally from Michigan and Minnesota, we married in Nashville, TN and currently live in Parker, CO. We chose this unique 'Alta Vista' as our mountain getaway because we enjoy the outdoors and the friendly, small town feel of Grand Lake. We love to hike and view wildlife just up the road in RM National Park and canoe on Shadow Mountain Lake. We also come for personal retreats, to listen to the birds and watch the snow fall. We had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful home. The house is very comfortable and met our needs 100%. The view was beautiful too and the deck was perfect for sitting and chatting. This was the first time that we rented a house for our yearly excursion and I am sure that we will do it again. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your house.

We had the best time. Truly a very significant lifetime experience for all of us. We were in love with your home. It could not have been better. The girls were telling me on the ride back how the house fit our needs so well as it wasn’t too big for them to go off on their own in little groups but it also wasn’t too small to make them feel cramped. It encouraged fellowship which was exactly what we needed.

Spacious, well stocked, easy access to village

We found the home to be spacious, the kitchen well stocked, plenty of beds to accommodate our family, and the view out of the front windows to be excellant. In all, the 3 day vacation was just what we had hoped for. The easy access to the village of Grand Lake was handy for going into town for shopping, playing minature golf, the kids playing at the playground, etc.
