Nice Sandy beach for walking or sunbathing. The water is shallow enough for small children, but can accommodate larger boats. The water level in all of the Great Lakes is quite low now and the beach is longer than is shown in the 2010 photo. The bottom is sandy except for some algae growth along the shoreline ,but there is a dock to get to sandy bottom. Good walleye fishing all year around. There are several boat launches all around. The property is close to the Bay City State Park and has miles of trails. You can ride from the beach all the way across the river to Bay City on bike paths. Similarly, in the fall, duck and goose hunting is excellent and there are a lot of areas not far away or on the shore. In the winter, Walleye fishing is extremely popular directly in front of the cottage and all along the Saginaw Bay.
There are always festivals or activities in the summertime and great dining.
The cottage is perfect for a family of 4. It is air conditioned, has cable and wireless internet, washer and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen.
