Dock your boat just 200 yds from the house on the owners dock. The local area is know for world class fishing in the Deschuttes River as well as white water rafting. Pine Hollow Reservoir and Area: Pine Hollow Reservoir (Lake) provides the opportunity to fish, swim, jet ski, water ski, kayak, canoe, paddle boat, float, sail. It is a wonderful relaxing and laid back resort area. In the area, there are hiking trails, ATV trails, hunting, horseback riding, biking, and more.
Nearby, is the Deschutes River and all it has to offer including white water rafting, white water kayaking, and fly fishing.
Also, nearby are historical sites such as the Barlow Trail, Oregon Trail, and Columbia River. Within a short drive there are wineries and orchards; drive the 'Fruit Loop', enjoy the local beers at the Full Sail Brewery, wind surf on the Columbia or watch the wind surfers.
Or, if you just want to hang at the lake, there are three local restaurants/bars in the area. One restaurant/bar, Anglers, is within walking distance (approx 1/8 mile). The Sportsman's Pub and Grub is a short drive.
