OCEANFRONT--WATCH THE SUNRISE AND SET FROM THIS HOME ON IT'S OWN 8-ACRE POINT

Gouldsboro House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6

A long private drive, 8 ac. and 1/4 mi. of classic rocky Maine shore front with ocean views from three sides of the house gives complete privacy, quiet and plenty to explore! After searching the tide pools, swimming or launching a kayak from shore get out and explore all that Schoodic Peninsula offers. There are some great area restaurants, live entertainment, festivals throughout summer and early fall as well as local shops, antiques, galleries and golf. The Schoodic Point section of Acadia Nat'l Park is a great spot to hike, bike, paint or simply relax and watch the waves crash along the rocky shoreline, some of the best in Maine. Hop on the ferry to Bar Harbor and take your bikes along and/or use the Island Explorer bus (free!) and hit all the area destinations or go out on a whale watch. Experience the hustle and bustle for the day and then come back and unwind, enjoying the cool ocean breeze, endless views and peaceful surroundings. The perfect place for you and your family to make some real Maine memories.

Tranquil Getaway

  • 5 of 5
The house was immaculate! It was equipped with everything we needed - and more! The view from the house was amazing. It was so very peaceful, tranquil and serene. My children (ages 4 & 5) loved playing by the water - the cold didn't stop them. We made two trips to Acadia National Park which was spectacular. We did some hiking and saw some great wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this home. As a side note, the house is very isolated (which we loved), but it was a bit of a ride to get to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

What a beautiful home

  • 5 of 5
We just got back from a week stay at this home. The home is gorgeous inside and out. The house was clean, the amenities in the home were great, and the views were so nice. We brought our four and five year old with us, and they had lots of room to run. You are isolated here. The beach is kind of rocky and lots of kelp. It is not a place for swimming .Our children were entertained exploring the tide pools, digging in the sandy area, and running around the expansive property! If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is the place for you. The Schoodic area of Acadia National Park is a short drive away and a great place to hike, picnic, and see wildlife without the crowds that you see in the Acadia National Park located near Bar Harbor. The property manager is great. Excellent communication.

Owner's Response: We're having a wonderful summer - lots of sun, warm weather and cool ocean breezes. The calmer waters all the way around this house are perfect for kayaking or canoeing with lots of shoreline to explore.
