UNA LUNA is a bit of a ‘Town-into-Country’ adobe located on a portion of the Meusebach Mountain Ridge that offers a commanding view of more than 180 degrees of sunset.

The house is located on BUCKS RUN ROAD, off KEYSERVILLE ROAD in the Loyal Valley area of Eastern Mason County. The location of the property, TRES LUNAS, is just at the Southeastern Corner of Mason County, bordering on Llano and Gilespie Counties and is centrally located between Mason and Fredericksburg and close to Castell, Llano, Kerrville and other area communities.

Wood floors, great beds and beautiful artwork offer a comfortable ‘up-town’ feel to the beauty of the rugged Hill Countryside, giving you a feeling of luxury in the ‘middle of nowhere.’

Guests typically enjoy walking the roads of the property and viewing the wildlife. TRES LUNAS, the 112 acre ranch, holds a small Angus/Brangus herd of cattle as well as a variety of other wildlife including deer, many migratory birds, owls, hawks, raccoons, quail and turkey. Guests also enjoy the view and the vanishing edge pool and hot tub at the adjacent TRES LUNAS ‘Poshienda’ that overlooks the horizon, but many find that the Stone Peace Chapel, situated high on the hill, is a place of personal reflection, meditation, yoga or marriage. Many beautiful WEDDINGS are held at TRES LUNAS annually, from elopements to grand social affairs.

From hammocks to rocking chairs surely one of the porches will fit your needs. We're just 6 miles from the Llano River you can do a lot (fishing,swimming,kayaking) or you can do a lot of nothing. The majestic Hill Country of Texas is rapidly becoming the "Napa Valley'" of Texas. There are over 20 wineries within an hours drive of the ranch. Don't forget Luckenbach, Texas about 45 minutes away, you know Waylon and Willie and The Boys!

Great Place for a weekend!

What an incredible view and place to relax. We enjoyed every moment whether it was sitting in the pool or on the front porch watching sunsets and deer. I was happy one of my favorite places to eat "Hill Top Cafe" was very close. This was a perfect was to end the summer and I know we hope to come back. The only reason this was a 4 star, instead of a 5 is some of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty and still left over in the dishwasher. The owners were out of town as I knew they might be. Therefore this might explain this oversight, but don't let it deter you from coming. The photos don't show how beautiful this area and property really truly is. Also, take the trip to Mason for Deadwood BBQ! That is where the real BBQ is for this area.

Owner's Response: Ohme!!! This is NOT the way we do business. We were traveling out of state for the entire month of August and had contracted to have the cabin cleaned and prepped. We are so grateful for the insight about this issue. It is certainly, and absolutely, not the way we do our job.

At least the dishes made it into the dishwasher, but so unfortunate that the caretaker did not remember to turn it on.

So, so sorry about that.

Carol and Craig are an awesome couple, and Tres Lunas is a great place to get away and take it easy. Carol is a great chef,and creates wonderful delicious dishes while Craig makes sure your wine glass is never empty.

A Month of Peace and Tranquility

My husband and I stayed @ Tres Lunas for a month. We were snowbirds looking for an alternative to crowded beaches and traffic. We definately found it here. The setting was breathtaking and the wildlife added much amusement. As the saying goes, "The stars at night, are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas".....we were awestruck by the display in the sky! Can't see the heavens like that in the city anymore. Truly spectacular. We highly recommend Tres Lunas. Craig and Carol are fabulous hosts....they do weddings, too!

The property was more delightful than expected..the interior was designed creatively and cleanly, no extra clutter but I was inspired with the decor. Wide plank pine hardwood floors, comfortable beds and plently of comfortable seating in the den.

Owner was more than accommodating, providing us groceries from town when we ran out, and extra fuel for our outdoor firepit.

We traveled into Mason to check it out, visited the winery and the chocolate shop. Mason is certainly a bustling community.

The location provided just enough "wilderness" and "isolation" with comfortable accommocations to give our entire family a much needed break from civilization.
