Mount Pleasant is nestled in the hills above Runaway Bay, on 88 acres. Enter through the gates up a long driveway to the villa that parts of the original house date back as far as the 1880's. In the foyer, the walls depict hand-painted tropical foliage. To the right is a powder room, the left is the dining room which features a beautiful table true to the Jamaican style. The dining room leads to a breakfast nook which in turn leads to the kitchen. In the kitchen their is a large fireplace, original to the house made of local cut stone. This villa features an organic garden which helps you to have the freshest of meals during your stay.
The living area spans the width of the villa. French doors at one end lead to the veranda at the front of the house which has beautiful views of trees and the coastline. At the other end the french doors lead to the large lawn which features a Wedgewood blue fountain. A separate seating area features a satellite TV and off of the this seating area is the games room featuring a pool table, skittles table and card table. French doors lead to an partially shaded enclosed patio with views of the tennis court, gardens and the sky.
This villa also features a pool and small putting green. There is a beautiful nature path that winds for 1.5 miles through the property. A ten minute drive down the hill will bring you to the beach at Runaway Bay.
Four of the 5 bedrooms have small entryways leading off of the living area. The 5th bedroom has two small steps at the entryway that lead to this room.
