This lovely villa sits right on the edge of Mahoe Bay - white sand and aqua sea are but 15 feet from your private pool!
Sandcastle's Great Room is furnished in charming Caribbean style, and combines living, dining and kitchen areas all under one airy cathedral ceiling - this spacious room opens out to a beachside covered verandah for alfresco dining and cocktails surrounded by lush gardens, and is just a couple of steps from the pool. On one side of the Great Room is the air-conditioned master king suite with a hot tub in its front garden; on the other side, in the breezeway between pavilions, is a wet bar with icemaker and mini-fridge.
Just beyond the breezeway is Sandcastle's north pavilion with the second and third air-conditioned king bedroom/bath suites, and across the garden courtyard and fountain is the fourth air-conditioned suite with two double beds. A lazy hammock, complete with an umbrella for shady relaxation, awaits you. A separate two-storied pavilion sits at the east edge of the courtyard; stairs lead up to the fifth air-conditioned bedroom suite, which also doubles as a handsome office/library on the upper level offering satellite TV, a desk and fax machine, a game table, full bath, and a private covered balcony. Elegant tropical furnishings, fabrics and Caribbean art and accessories create splashes of vibrant color against Sandcastle's cool white tiles and white wicker for timeless casual comfort - this is the perfect location for a family beach holiday.
Natural beauty is in abundance on the third largest of the British Virgin Islands. Explore the indigenous plant-lined trails, nature sanctuaries and natural wonders of the protected national parks. By mid-morning in Virgin Gorda, many have settled down on one of the many deserted beaches that fringe the island. The pace of life is slow on Virgin Gorda, but if you don't want to spend the day on a beach, there are plenty of other activities. You could explore The Baths- huge boulders provide a myriad of rock pools, secret beaches, and trails. Or spend the morning at a hillside restaurant cooled by gentle breezes while you watch the ferries cross the North Sound far below. Dramatic slopes plunge from Gorda Peak to the turquoise waters below.
