Owner / Property Manager purchased this condo in 1982
We really enjoyed being able to cook our own meals here - with most kitchen supplies available, even a crockpot! The bed linens were great, and we are pretty particular - they were SO comfy! There was a dog below us, I believe someone who lived there year round, and he was very noisy. We have a little baby, so the dog's barking would wake him. Other than that, we would probably stay here again.
The Casa De La Rosa condo was a perfect escape. From the comfortable king bed to the lovely fireplace and spacious condo we loved it. Our first impression, upon arrival, was the cleanliness and freshness of the condo. The condo has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a great vacation stay in Santa Fe. The owners have gone "out of their way" to provide all the necessities you will need, which is unusual for most vacation rentals. Also, they provided lots of valuable information pertaining to all aspects of Santa Fe, which made it easier to select the best attractions, restaurants and shopping. The location is just a 5 minute drive to the plaza and so convenient. When our week was up, we really hated to leave. You will not be disappointed if you choose the Casa De La Rosa. We would go back in a heartbeat!
We have been renting vacation homes from vrbo, home away, etc. for over 10 years. This was the easiest ever to deal with.
Our party of 4 adults loved the Casa De La Rosa 2 bedroom condo. It is very clean, comfortable, and the southwest decor is just what we were looking for. Also liked the very convenient location, just a few minutes from Sante Fe's historic downtown and the Canon Road art area. Hiking at Bandelier National Monument and Pecos National Historical Park is an experience we will never forget. Both are several miles from Sante Fe, but well worth the drive.
My granddaughter and I stayed here for 5 nights and found it comfortable and a good location.
Pros: Good location (close but not too close - we had a car and used it every time we left); well appointed (lots of spices, oil, coffee pot filters, kitchen equipment, paper towels etc); It's the only vrbo I've rented where there were staples available (not taken by cleaning people) - a huge convenience. Linens were above average quality; very nice covered deck with table and chairs (where we ate every meal we had at home) mountain view; very close to grocery store; good instructions for wifi etc; good shower, towels, washer and dryer.
Cons: upon arrival agency provided wrong code for electronic entry pad, but a quick phone call to local number fixed promptly; needs better lighting (darker than I like but tolerable due to deck doors); bedroom windows wood blinds leak bright yellow outside security lighting all night; a/c a little loud and did not keep temperature stable but acceptable; need fans in bedrooms.
Overall this property hit the most important components of a great place to stay with comfortable convenience. Much better than a hotel. We enjoyed it.
The condo was quite charming with its colorful walls and unique décor. We found the location to be very suitable for our needs. Close to the Ski Resort turn off and the Plaza. We were a family of four, two being teenage boys, and the condo worked well for us. The Kivas fireplace gave a nice Santa Fe feeling after a long day of skiing. The unit is in a very quite complex and the ground level made it easy to carry groceries, suitcases, and ski equipment. Communication with the owners was great as well, by phone and texting. We would recommend this condo for anyone looking for a nice vacation.
Casa de Rosa was a great place to stay in Santa Fe. Easy to get anywhere, while not stuck in the downtown gridlock. Condo was clean and well equipped. Lots of attention to detail. The beds were comfortable, everything was in top working condition, though sometimes it was hard to make out the numbers on the front door lock. Comes with a working kiva fireplace which we used twice. A small library of DVDs helped when a problem with the cable left us without TV. Overall a great place at a great value.
