Our beautiful family villa offers luxurious comfort and tranquility among the woodlands, waterways and golf courses in the deed restricted community of Rotonda West close to both Englewood and Port Charlotte on Florida’s South West Coast. This area of Florida is widely referred to as ‘Florida’s Best Kept Secret‘ and voted ‘Best Place to live in the South’ by ‘Money Magazine’ several times as well as one of the overall top five ‘Best places to live in America’.

Rotonda is approximately 1.5 hours south of Tampa, equidistant from the cities of Sarasota to the north and Fort Myers to the south. From a bird’s eye view, Rotonda West is a perfect circle surrounded by a river and divided into subdivisions, one of which is a nature reserve providing habitat for the region’s wilder occupants.Rotonda has lakes in abundance, canals, golf courses and greenbelt areas allowing superb balance and harmony with nature.

Guests will enjoy luxury facilities and privacy in this spacious 3-bedroom home, tastefully furnished and immaculately maintained. The open plan ‘great room’ is the central heart of the villa, with its cathedral ceiling and comfortable seating in the carpeted lounge area. A large screen fibre-optics technology TV with integral DVR and a DVD/VCR player provide on-line entertainment together with a well-stocked bookcase and various games. The formal dining area has seating for six. All bedrooms are carpeted, have walk-in closets plus ample drawer storage. Both bathrooms and all other non-carpeted areas have high quality ceramic floor tiles. The master suite has a king-size bed, interactive TV, telephone and bathroom with a large jacuzzi bath and huge walk-in shower. The well equipped kitchen has high quality granite countertops,a small breakfast table with chairs together with a breakfast bar with 3 high backed upholstered stools and contains everything required to prepare a gourmet meal or just heat up a pizza. The telephone is located at the end of the granite topped breakfast bar. A wireless internet system is also installed. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities and a deep washing sink. All linen and towels(including beach towels) are provided including spare sheets and blankets.

This home has ceiling fans and is air conditioned throughout.

The 32ft pool (heated upon request for a small extra charge)is situated on a south facing screened lanai for a bug free environment overlooking green belt woodland a haven for the region's wilder occupants. The lanai has a large table and 6 comfortable chairs for 'al fresco' dining and on the deck there are 4 sun-loungers with cushions.

Close to both Englewood and Port Charlotte, this home is ideally situated for spending days out on one of the pristine beaches in the area or enjoying the islands, waterways, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries of the beautiful Gulf Coast. There are many golf courses-Rotonda itself boasts 99 holes. In the area there is an extensive selection of restaurants catering to all tastes,many supermarkets/shopping malls and, for the more fashion conscious 2 designer outlets within an hours drive.

Rotonda Community Park with its bike trail, tennis courts and childrens playground is only 5 minutes walk from the villa.

About The Owner

We live in Peterborough in the UK and had our home built in 2005 after being invited to spend a couple of weeks with friends at their property in Rotonda, and fell in love with the area – so much so that we bought the plot there and then! The appeal of winter sunshine, ‘dry’ golf and walking on the pristine beaches was too much to resist.

Previously we had visited Florida only once when our boys were younger – staying in the Orlando area, and were unaware of the beautiful areas further south.

The Owner purchased this villa in 2006

Our villa is ideally situated for relaxing on the Gulf beaches, playing golf on one of the many courses, exploring reserves and bird sanctuaries or visiting the beautiful Gulf islands. Cape Haze and the Myakka river estuary is a fisherman’s paradise with many fishing piers and a centre for tarpon fishing. Within 5 minutes walk of the villa in the centre of Rotonda West, Rotonda Community Park is a 32 acre community park with 2 tennis courts, sports field, children’s playground, picnic pavillion and rest room facilities. Notes: We feel we have provided a comprehensive range of facilities but if guests feel anything has been omitted we would like to hear from them. The laundry facilities are found in the separate utility room and therefore don't clutter up the kitchen area. The whole of the lanai/pool area is enclosed within a screened 'bug free' environment providing recreational and 'al fresco' dining comfort.

This is the seventh time we have rented in Rotonda and it was certainly our most pleasant experience. We cannot say enough about this home which is beautifully decorated, comfortable, well-equipped and extremely clean. We were welcomed with a personal note and bottle of wine upon arrival after our long drive. We loved the large southwest facing pool, especially on those cooler days. In addition to sunbathing by the pool or beach, our family enjoys playing tennis. Rotonda Haven is perfectly situated within Rotonda Circle so that we could walk, rather than drive, to the park to play tennis. Margaret was wonderful to deal with and can't wait to return to this lovely villa.

Truly a wonderful Villa

We stayed for one week with our two children ( 11 and 8 ) and as soon as we arrived in the Villa, we all felt releived. It is as nice as all the pictures. Super clean, lots on linens that we did not have to bring. Everything for the beach, and what about that pool. Rotonda is also well situated. Boca Grande beach and Siesta Key or a must see. Thanks a again for your Villa, we had a fantastic time there.

Sunshine, a comfortable place to stay and lots of golf close by.....who could ask for more. We have been vacationing in this part of Florida for a few years now and this is the first home we have stayed that we want to return to again. The owners of this property are fabulous to deal with and they definately care about the comfort of their guests. The home was clean and very well maintained plus comfortable beds.

From the booking process to the actual accomodations, we couldn't be any happier or impressed. The property owners accurately represented a beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained property; our only regret was not having found it sooner. Should you decide to stay here you'll notice, before anything else, the responsive and friendly attitude of the owners; an absolute pleasure compared to the impersonal "assembly line" treatment of hotel chains. We were immediately impressed with the villa as well...beautifully decorated and very well appointed. It's also close enough to an endless supply of things to do, while being secluded enough for rest and relaxation...and who wouldn't want to rest and relax in such a terrific home? After visiting local attractions be sure to explore the local towns of Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Venice, and Sarasota...beautiful! If you're looking for a reasonably priced stay in a comfortable home environment surrounded by leisure activities, look no further.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in your home. You even ordered up PERFECT weather for us. Now, that's going above and beyond. We absolutely love the fact that it's so private...no neighbors to the south or west.
Being able to relax on a vacation is what really makes it great. We're regular visitors to the area, so we knew our way around and visited our favorite restaurants.
