Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet hideaway located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. Many Lancaster County attractions are nearby: Kitchen Kettle, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, Amish Quilt Shops, Rockvale and Tanger Outlet Malls, Sight and Sound Millenium Theatre, Shady Maple Restaurant/Smorgasboard and other Restaurants with Amish Cooking, Buggy Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides.

The brand-new apartment under the main level of the owner's home is warmly decorated and peaceful. It includes a comfortable featherbed, flat-screen TV/DVD, seating area with fireplace, dining table and kitchenette (small refrigerator/microwave/coffee maker.) A mini-washer and dryer can be used for small loads of laundry. The spacious backyard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color in the summer months or relax in the hammock under the trees.

Hi
We enjoyed our stay. Didn't arrive until dark, but encountered light snow & rain dusting. So peaceful and quite. We caught up on some dvd movies, sat by the fire place. We grilled steaks, baked potatoes and had a salad or Saturday night dinner. Didn't really come to drive around much, but did spoke our heads outside to Gazebo, lovely ground space. We felt the cool brisk air while cooking. We never saw the owner, who were ever so nice. Thanks for making this get away happen or being available. Will have to come back in the summer time. Excellent choice, bed most comfortable. Spotless quarters.

A Wonderful Surprise

My family stayed at the Hideaway this past weekend and were not disappointed at all! This had been our first vacation where we stayed at rental properties vs. a hotel or inn. The pictures online were beautiful and upon arriving it was even better than what was shown. My kids were even in awe! I was hesitant, not knowing what to expect, but the reviews were so positive that I was sold. I need to add, the ONE review that had some picky complaints was answered by the owners so graciously, that it only added to me liking the hosts of the property even more. My children loved the freedom to play outside as well. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our time in Lancaster. We are now spoiled to stay in an ordinary hotel again!

Refreshing, Relaxing Getaway

My husband and I have traveled all over, staying at B&B's in Ireland, South Africa, and here in the U.S. This place is one of the finest we have ever stayed in! I absolutely agree with the review about it being just as it is pictured - clean, updated, comfortable,... The owners give you your privacy and yet they are there and available if you have any questions. We were so impressed! Definitely a place we'd love to revisit.

Our Weekend Getaway

We are always very cautious giving recommendations for places to stay, knowing that there are so many components which influence the way a place is portrayed. However, for the Hideaway, it was exactly as pictured and described and we enjoyed it immensely. It was spotlessly clean and fresh. Prior to booking, Fan answered my questions quickly and accurately and we when arrived, we were thrilled to see that it was even more than we expected. We took a buggy ride through the country and one evening went to Sight and Sound - which we loved! We highly recommend the Hideaway and will be returning there ourselves whenever we get an opportunity.

Great Place to stay

This was an excellent place to stay. It lies in the heart of Amish country and the accommodations were great. I stayed here before my wedding and it was perfect. The owners are a great couple and very nice. I loved it and hope I can stay here in the future.
