Photos and Description of the Kastro vacation house rental

Asteria is named after stars. It has an approximately size of 45 sq. m and is suitable for 2 - 4 people. The house has an additional 18 sq. m large covered, furnished (table, chairs, lounge chairs) patio with a perfect ocean view - just incredible for a dream sun set. The patio is all tiled tastefully with stone tiles. Both, the estate and the house, are extremely well maintained. The home is located on a large (5000 sq. m) garden estate, lavishly planted with pine trees, palm trees, bougainvillea, geranium, roses, fig trees, olive trees. You will find small and large grassy areas that are quiet suitable for sun baths. On the grassy areas you will enjoy enough privacy and the entire garden offers enough space for the carefree play of your children. A swing is present as well. The garden is safe for children. Exterior showers offer a nice cool break in between sun baths. The entire estate is enclosed and you will not find any through traffic. A small private road leads you to the villa.

After just 500 meter you will find a glorious, kilometre wide sandy beach and you hardly will find a better place for a beautiful beach vacation. These beaches belong to South-Greeces most beautiful beaches. You can find water sports opportunities in almost every town in the surrounding neighborhood. The most famous sight of the half-island of Elis is the Franken castle Chemutsi, which can be seen from afar. The castle is approximately 3 km south of Kyllini and 2 km from the ocean. From the mighty ruin of the knights castle, which is illuminated at night, you will have a glorious panoramic view to the mountains to the east and the Ionic islands to the west. Below the mountain, where you will find yet another castle, are the houses of the village Kastro picturesque placed into the hills. By now the town is used to some tourism and offers its guests some bars, cafés, grocery store, gas station, bakery and a bus stop. Besides Kastro offers the antique Olympia equally a cultural highlight.

Von Korinth bis Koroni haben wir bereits die verschiedensten Häuser gemietet. Der gepflegte Garten war mit Abstand der schönste von Allen. Nicht nur der Garten, sondern auch die Häuser: Sehr sauber und gut unterhalten. Auch die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Das kulinarische Angebot in der Umgebung ist reichhaltig und in der Regel qualitativ sehr hochstehend. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und Märkte hat es reichlich.
Zum Strand sollte man schon das Auto nehmen. Insbesondere im Sommer ist man sonst gut durchgebraten, bis man dort ankommt. Am Strand hat es Tavernen. Der Sandstrand ist naturbelassen und recht sauber. In der Nähe, im Robinsonclub, gibt es auch diverse Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Es hat oft Wellen, die aber hier viel Spass machen. Die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieteramilie ist bemerkenswert. Als Highlight sollte auch das eigene Brunnenwasser erwähnt werden, das eine hervorragende Qualität hat. Das Schleppen von Wasserflaschen kann man sich dort sparen.
Verbessern könnte man noch die Klimatisierung der Häuser (ein Propeller an der Decke würde genügen) und ein Sonnenschutz auf der Terrasse würde die Sache perfekt machen.
Owner's Response: Ich denke, ein Deckenventilator wird angeregt und ein sonnenschutz dürfte kein Problem sein.

Wer Griechenland,Land und Leute zu schätzen weiss,ist hier genau richtig.Eingebettet im ursprünglichen,kaum touristischen und doch typisch griechischen,habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt in einem der Villen Polaris.Auf der überdachten Terrasse,haben wir oft abends lange gesessen,die Ruhe genossen und uns erfreut an den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergängen.Auch die freundliche Besitzerin war für Fragen oder Sorgen immer erreichbar.Super toll die Fliegengitter an allen Fenstern/Terrassentür.Die Gartenanlage ist super gepfegt.Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert ,um die Umgebung zu erkunden und viel neues zu entdecken.In Loutra Killini darf man noch in den Tavernen in die Töpfe schauen und Mamas gute griechische Küche geniessen. Ein schöner Urlaub mit viel Abwechslung.
Owner's Response: Ich denke, diese Kritik entspricht völlig meiner eigenen Erfahrung - eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit soll tatsächlich auf einen PKW gelegt werden, denn gerade die antiken Stätten, die nicht weit, dennoch aber so weit gelegen sind, dass ein Auto bei einem Bedürfnis nach alter Kultur notwendig wird, verlangen ein wenig Mobilität.

Villa Polaris in Kastro

Die Anlage ist sehr sehr ruhig, sauber und nett! Der Blick aufs Meer ist vorhanden, jedoch durch Häuser und Bäume eingeschränkt.

Sie liegt jedoch mind. 500 m vom Meer entfernt, es ist eine Straße zwischen Haus und Meer und ein kaum begehbarer Pfad vorhanden. Ein Auto ist somit unbedingt erforderlich um zum Meer zu gelangen, da die schöneren Strände ca. 2 km entfernt sind.
Auch zum Einkaufen wird ein Fahrzeug benötigt. (Es ist jedoch ein "Mini Market" beim nahen Campingplatz (ca. 10 - 15 Minuten zum Gehen) vorhanden, um Brot, Milch etc. einzukaufen. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist in Kastro (ca. 5 km entfernt).

Die Angaben im Inserat sowie die Antwort auf unsere diesbezügliche Anfrage (Entfernung zum Meer sowie Einkaufmöglichkeit und Taverne) waren schlichtweg falsch!!!!!

Die Ausstattung im Haus selber ist etwas mangelhaft (Geschirr), jedoch ist die Vermieterin (wohnt auch in der Anlage) bemüht. Hin und wieder gibt es Stromausfall.

Restaurants, Strand, Freizeitmöglichkeiten sind nur mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Weiterempfehlen würde ich diese Anlage nur wirklich Ruhe suchenden und vor allem mobilen Feriengästen.
Owner's Response: In Absprache mit der Besitzerin, aber auch aus eigener Erfahrung: ein Baum - und zwar der veröffentlichte - steht zwischen Haus und Meer bzw. Blick auf Zakynthos,- die Sicht ist nicht beschränkt. Die genannten Häuser liegen weit unterhalb des Anwesens, behindern somit den Meerblick keineswegs.
Die Entfernung zum Meer über ein Feld beträgt 200 Meter Luftlinie - vielleicht 300 Meter zufuß und nicht 500 Meter.
Einkauf auf dem Camping nach 5-7 Minuten zufuß - ebenso Taverne oder weitere Taverne nach exakt 980 Metern. (vor Robinson Club). Selbstverständlich ist es ruhig und für Gäste geeigbet, die Ruhe wünsches, was meiner Beschreibung entspricht und Stromausfälle haeb die gasamte Region betroffen,- sind somit nicht ursächlich auf die Billa Polaris bezogen. Das geschirr etc. betreffend: die Vermieterin sagte Aufstockung zu.
Großeinkäufe selbstverständlich in Kastro, was meinem Beschrieb entspricht.
