NEEDS A LOT OF WORK, YOU CAN DO FAR BETTER!

I have used these folks before, however this time we stayed at "2 Ray Jays" at Oak Island Villas. The condo appeared nice and updated in the pictures, however when we arrived we found two dead cockroaches, a patio sliding door that was off its frame, windows that were completely fogged or stained from salt air, you could not see out either bedroom windows nor the sliding glass door. The property appears to have seen its better days. The day after I checked out, my credit card company alerted me they had charged my card an additional fee! The card company is investigating them for fraud. Oak Island is a great place, just stay somewhere different and use a different management company

I'm sorry you felt the need to resort to this. When we spoke the day before your departure you mentioned a couple of bugs, had we known sooner I would have been happy to send someone out. I didn't know you had other issues as you never mentioned them.

In regards to your accusation of fraud: I know you had a conversation with your card company and our accountant, at which point you denied having the 12lbs. dog you had previously admitted to. You also denied even having spoken to us. I do have my call logs that showed several coversations where we discussed the presence of your dog in a non pet-friendly property and it is a shame you decided to leave town earlier than the time you had agreed to meet with me. We would have been happy with collecting the pet fee that goes into keeping the units in better shape; but because you decided to skip out, we charged the $200 as stated in the contract that you signed. Regardless, at this time we don't plan to pursue the credit card fraud you orchestrated to avoid the charge, though I felt the need to set the record straight.

Regardless of which company you contract through, please keep in mind that this complex is unfortunately non pet-friendly for guests and your actions could result in fines of up to $100 per day for the property owners.

Best of luck with your future stays, I hope you find somewhere enjoyable and pet-friendly here on our island.
