Our cabin is located on pristine property, secluded but not isolated, on the side of one of the Balsam Mountains. A ''Bold Rushing Creek'' flows just below our cabin. Fresh mountain air, crystal clear water, sun rays streaking through the tree tops. At an elevation of 3200 feet our cabin is always cool.
Comfortably furnished with antiques, art work and family treasures. A place to ponder the universe and one's place in it. Come stay with us and rejuvenate your soul.
We are located within the Nantahalla Forest surrounded by woodlands with wildlife of every description.
Butterflies, humming birds and wild flowers abound. Listen to the water cascading over the rocks and boulders below while sitting on one of our decks. A peaceful, serene tranquility will overcome you.
A wood burning stone fireplace and authentic hand made rustic hickory furniture will enhance your mountain vacation experience. A new Lazy Boy chair, couch and rockers provide maximum comfort for your peaceful escape.
Parking : We have parking close to the front of our cabin but it is limited with a 'tight' navigable turn-a-round. An SUV is ideal due to a steep incline on our nearby access road, but not necessary. There is more than adequate additional parking for larger vehicles, RV/Boat/Trailers, below our cabin, but you would have stairs to climb

Hi Edward, We enjoyed our stay very much. Fishing was unusually slow on
the "Tuck"and the Davidson Rivers, but just right on the Nantahalla. Total
fish count about 40 all combined ( may be 50). Thank you for the use of your very comfortable cabin. Best regards, Walt
Owner comment: Walt and his buddies are well known accomplished fly fishermen.
We rented this cabin to attend open house at nearby Western Carolina University. The cabin was a short 20 minutes from campus. After a busy day of touring the campus, we were able to relax on the porches and/or sit on a stump in the middle of the island in the river below. The view, complete with sound effects, was amazing and was enjoyed by the whole family. My husband, who is usually ready to leave before we ever reach our destination, didn't want to leave! The owner was quick to respond to inquiries and the manager with very helpful as well. Our family looks forward to renting this cabin again over the next 4 years.
We stayed for a week and found the cabin to be very comfortable and clean. Beds were good, kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The manager was very friendly and helpful as well. The location was perfect for us, convenient to Maggie Valley, Cherokee and Bryson City. My children really enjoyed the river and island in front of the house. We also enjoyed walking along the road into the cabin with its many beautiful waterfalls along the way.
This cabin is perfect if you are staying in the Smoky Mountain area. We prefer the peaceful mountain atmosphere over the crowds and commercial strips in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed exploring the town and surrounding cities on our way to hiking in the Smoky Mountains each day. The cabin was a perfect setting for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We were able to totally unplug, sit on either deck, and listen to the beautiful sounds of nature. The creek does not disappoint, and provides a beautiful sounds-cape. The cabin layout was perfect, cozy, extremely clean, and tastefully decorated. We loved our vacation and we couldn't have been happier with our cabin choice. The owners are also quick to respond and great to work with.
We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this great hideaway! The front porches (upper and lower) are super for just relaxing with your favorite beverage and just letting the sound of the rushing creek below drift up and fill your senses. All the rooms were more than adequate and each has a sliding door that can be opened to the sound of the creek and fresh air. The kitchen was well equipped and a quite adequate size. Once you conquer the short steep driveway and master turning around, the rest is great. I would recommend it for just getting away from it all!
Ed & Patti,
I just wanted to drop you a note while I had a moment to let you know we enjoyed our stay immensely and appreciate your allowing us to have an extra night and your flexibility with our arrival time. It was a experience driving up to the cabin for us and something we share when discussing our trip with family and friends, it was scenic and an adventure in itself. The setting of being amongst the tree tops and the view of the brook from the porch made it seem like we were in a tree house. We are considering a return trip perhaps in the fall to visit our friends and to take in the color change of the leaves so we will certainly let you know as I have bookmarked the page that I found your cabin on.

We had a great time in the cabin on Bold Rushing Creek!! It was nice to be removed from the city in such a beautiful location. All the leaves were changing which we could see from either porch. The cabin was very comfortable, clean and really met our needs. All my concerns were addressed in terms of the amenities that were provided - everything was as stated, which I really appreciate. We had a little trouble understanding how the TV worked - but we called the property manager and she told us what channel to put it on to make it work. Loved the creek - it must be a blast in the summer time - kids would love it. The cabin was close to Great Smoky Mountain National Park - which we particularly wanted to see. We drove part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, visted Asheville and made it to Tennessee. Sylva, the nearest town, was pleasant to meander through as were the other towns in the area. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality. If we are ever out that way again, we now know who to contact!
We are well located 2.2 miles away from the nearest heavily traveled highway. Our paved country road will lead you to our peaceful rustic cabin in the woods. A bold rushing creek cascades over rocks and boulders just below our cabin. Enjoy our private trout stream with a foot bridge to our own little island. Children and adults alike love finding 'fools gold' in our creek bottom. See our thick forest and blooming rhododendron thickets. Serene family farms, railroad tunnels & trestles, waterfalls, meandering Scott's Creek with original roadways in North Carolina, wnd their way by and near our cabin/home. Country Blue Grass music is everywhere thru out our region. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherokee Indian Reservation. .
