Just off the living room area is a full bathroom and a private bedroom that has a queen size bed with a small balcony. The second bedroom is a loft bedroom with new bamboo floors, two twin beds and another full bathroom. The condo has it own washer and dryer.
The condo is close to all the famous surf spots of the North Shore. There are activities such as helicopter rides, glider rides, horseback riding, hiking, and much more.
We can also arrange surf lessons while you are here on your stay with a few of the North Shore's Professional surfers.
I purchased this resort condo to be closer to my kids and grandchildren who live on the North Shore.
Best Location in the Complex ( quietest with views)
I am not sure if you received my email as we began our stay at your condo; therefore, I want to say THANK YOU!! Your condo was wonderful and Chailoh is awesome! She was a true gem to work with and we are still are as we left behind a DVD of my son's soccer team in the QuarterFinals there in Honolulu. She is making sure that it is returned to us. I must say overall, I have never been so satisfied with the service and hospitality of our stay on a vacation. TRULY TOP NOTCH!
Thank you again!
Overall great experience with this rental. Patrick was very professional in promptly responding to any questions, and being available when we checked in late at night. I have a 4 and 7 year old and this condo was very family friendly. A heated pool (a rarity in my experience) sits right outside the door. The turtle bay resort is about 10 minute walk from the condo. We rented bikes for most of our trip which makes getting to the resort even easier. We had a few cruiser bikes, a kid bike and a kid carrier that we loaded with all the provided beach toys, cooler and my 4 year old each day. There are some cool beaches north and south of the resort if you are searching for some peace and quiet.
There are plenty of good and reasonable priced food options north and south of Turtle Bay. We stocked up at foodland in Haleiwa (the place to shop if you want liquor).
I was wondering how accessible the ocean would be in the winter on the north shore and was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of big waves in the area but also sheltered bays where snorkeling and swimming are safe. I also got surf lessons for myself and my 7 year old son in Haleiwa where the waves were easy and forgiving for beginners. My son caught the first wave he attempted and many more.
The condo has everything you need and we felt right at home. It was plenty cool with the breeze and the fans even for Alaskans.
Patrick - thank you for letting us stay at your condo. We had a great time and enjoyed everything about our stay. We look forward to returning, and will definitely try to book your place again when we return.
To others looking for a place to stay in the North Shore, we highly recommend this condo in Turtle Bay. Everything you will need during your stay is provided in this lovely condo. The condo is clean, in a great location, and just perfect for a small family or couple. As an added bonus, when we arrived, the fridge had some great items from the last visitor; the Popsicles were the big hit with our 5 yr old daughter. It was also nice to have some simple bathroom (shampoo, shaving cream), and simple kitchen amenities (tin foil, saran wrap) available. We tried to return the favor and left a few bottles of water, shampoo and popsicles of course when we left.
The condo also has beach equipment - beach chairs, snorkel gear, and the little mini cooler - which we found incredibly useful. There are also plenty of towels, so you never feel like you have to save one for the beach. If you have small kids go up 1/4 mile to the Turtle Bay resort public beach, it's actually really nice and soooo convenient. Last comment - make sure you plan plenty of time if you are headed to the airport. If you don't have status on the airline and need to return a car and check luggage - make sure you arrive 2 hours prior to your flight. Security lines in HNL were among the worst I have seen (and I traveled A LOT in the past). It could have easily taken an hour to get through security alone. Thankfully for us, Hawaiian Airlines really stepped up to move us to the front of the line, and after a quick run through the airport, we just made our flight. All in all - we had a GREAT time in Oahu, and look forward to returning next year!
We arrived late at night and the condo was VERY hard to find even tho we had exact directions. The roads were being worked on at Turtle bay so that complicated things even more. Took us like 30 mins to find the condo but we finally got out and walked around the premises and found it. Parking was also hard for us being there were limited amounts of guests parking spaces. Condo was nice. We liked the granite countertops and kitchen area. The bedroom downstairs was ok.. We didn't even bother sleeping upstairs in the room up there. It was a bit scary :/ Bathroom up there was SUPER small. Couch was nice and big. A little out dated but comfy enough.. Lani had a view of the golf course with the lawn guy mowing the lawn every morning. Overall was an ok place. Can't say we'll be back here again. Price was right tho :) Another good thing was it was near all the great shrimp trucks like Romy!!! Yummm... Polynesian Cultural Center was nearby also.
We highly recommend the condo at Turtle Bay and hope it is available to stay in again if we were to return. It was everything that was advertised. However, there were not many spices left in the cupboard when we left. Hopefully they are replenished. It was nice to have the Foodland grocery stores not to far away. We went to the one in Laie which was only about 5.7 miles east of the condo but if you shop on Sundays, they are closed, so you could go to the other one in Pupukea which is about 12 miles west of the Condo. We appreciated having the beach equipment and found the beach at the resort to be better than Haunama Bay - not so crowded and we saw more fish while snorkeling. We loved watching the surfers along the North Shore. Just a bit of warning about the traffic - make sure you plan plenty of time to get to your destinations (especially if you are headed to the airport). The speed limit is between 35-45 and sometimes there is lots of traffic (cars pulling in and out of the beaches) so it takes longer to travel than you might be used to so just plan plenty of time. The one thing we would advise also is that you make sure you have all the information you need to get into the unit - we had a problem with that but got in eventually. I believe the manager will be more aware of getting all the information needed conveyed to renters from now on. We were compensated some for being inconvenienced and appreciated that consideration. With that being said, we still would recommend this condo - the location is great if you like a quiet place and don't mind a short walk to the ocean and beaches. The kitchen has all you need for cooking a meal. Over all the condo was very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return.
We really liked the Turtle Bay development which is kept up so well. The unit was great...nice, new kitchen, everything we needed. We loved keeping the windows open to catch the wonderful breeze. There were boogie boards at the unit so we didn't have to buy any. We ate every meal on the screened-in lanai, with beautiful views of the golf course and sunsets. It was nice to walk down to the beach area at the hotel for some terrific snorkeling.
If you are going to Oahu, the best place to really get away from a very busy Honolulu and really experience this island is to go north to Turtle Bay Resort. And if you are going to Turtle Bay, the best way to enjoy it with kids is to stay at the condo listed above. The accomodations were great! We had plenty of room for 4 kids and 2 adults. The screened-in lanai has terrific views of the golf course as well as a partial view of the ocean just 2 fairways away. It is also a great place to enjoy a meal. The kids really loved the heated pool just outside the front door of the condo as well as the two beaches within a 1/2 mile.
The condo is also really close to great attractions like the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Dole Pinapple Plantation, north shore beaches and the famous shaved ice in Halieva. In fact the condo was so close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, that we went a second time for free using the bounce back option--we would have never done that if we were staying anywhere else.
Overall the condo was great and the owners were very accomodating.
The condo is on the Turtle Bay golf course and looks across 2 fairways to the ocean. There are Tennis courts and 3 swimming pools.Miles of virgin white sand adjacent beaches to explore.
Leileis restaurant is a short walk and 2 blocks from the TurtleBay Resort Hotel.
Other Activities: Glider rides, boating, wildlife viewing, kayaking,Helicopter tours, surf lessons
