|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Located off the beaten path in Tahoe, this home is nestled in the woods for privacy, yet still close to all the amenities you come to enjoy in South Lake Tahoe. That is hard to replicate in the majority of Tahoe properties. It's 4 miles to the lake and a mile within 2 golf courses. Best of all you are surrounded by 3 ski resorts, the closest being the largest and most spectacular, Heavenly. This home is the perfect getaway for multiple families traveling together. You'll find a king bed in the first bedroom and a queen in the remaining 2 bedrooms (perfect for the adults). For the kids there is additional sleeping on the sofa sleeper in the living room and an entire loft area with yet another sofa for sleeping. The kids can make their own space away from the adults in the large loft.
You will have everything you need to feel at home during your stay including linens and towels. Enjoy cooking your favorite home-cooked meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. Just bring the food! After dinner, spend some time relaxing in the private hot tub with friends and family. You'll have plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy year round, including skiing (at Heavenly, Kirkwood, Sierra at Tahoe, Homewood, Squaw Valley, and Northstar), golfing at one of the 3 golf courses (2 within a mile), fishing, boating, jet skiing, kayaking, swimming, hiking the desolation wilderness (within 2 miles), mountain biking and much more!

Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 1976
House was comfortable enough, but seamed neglected by way of cleanliness, like everything that was done was to minimum standards, leaving a less than homely feeling. This feeling was re-enforced by the fact that when we arrived, the house that sleeps 8-10 had a total of three towels, two hand towels and one wash cloth and no toilet paper. We were a party of 5. There was no broom, mop, and only one garbage bag of the type we were instructed to use for our garbage. The vacuum was also broken. Remotes were broken or had missing/dead batteries, as well as two broken smoke/co2 detectors, which the contact told us not to worry about, as there were hard wire back ups in place. Received texts from contact person who said the cleaning service was apologetic, but could not respond with more linens as they did not work weekends. After texts back and forth the contact person said he would reimburse us for anything we needed to buy. The trip ended with the downstairs bathroom backing up while the upstairs shower was being used, obviously from a blocked drain someplace. Texted the contact and advised him of that fact. Not so much as a sorry for your problems reply, or thanks for letting me know. The lack of concern/detail with the house put a sour note on the entire trip.
Our family stayed here for the second time in June 2014, the first being August of 2013. It was just as enjoyable as the first. It's located in a super quiet tract up the 89 a piece away from all the noise and traffic on the main drag.
The kitchen is well stocked and the grill was real handy. We bought our groceries down at Safeway and saved a bundle eating up at "our place". You can't go wrong. Three BR with comfy beds for all.
Fireplace and hot tub, and the best part ---- millions of stars at night.
Jason was real professional and prompt with texting our codes as soon as we arrived in town.
If you want peace and quiet,yet close enough for the action,stay here.
P.S. -- Use Pioneer for your treks to Downtown and Stateline.It's a great shortcut around Hwy. 50.

This house is a great choice for families or groups that enjoy the quiet and being slightly out of the center of town. It is a lovely neighborhood located just a few minutes from great restaurants, golf, shopping, the lake, and the casinos. The house itself is very nicely planned out to allow separate spaces for everyone. We found the kitchen to be extremely well stocked for a vacation rental. Pet friendly and extremely clean. I would absolutely recommend this property.
Spent four night here for a ski trip. The place is even nicer than the photos suggest. Everything you need -- including hot tub and two-car garage -- to have a super time. Very modern, well maintained and clean. Ten-min drive to Heavenly. The extra distance gets you way better value in accommodations. Roads ploughed immediately after snow fall. Will definitely be back.
This particular property was perfect for our group. There were three lovely bedrooms with super comfy beds and the sitting areas upstairs and downstairs were roomy with plush couches and chairs. The kitchen had everything you need to do all your gourmet cooking, and a gas BBQ outside for grilling all those summer meals.
The house was very clean and tidy and the hot tub worked perfectly. We especially enjoyed the upstairs game room which included games, movies, and a big screen TV. It really has a charming "cabin in the woods" feel. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.
During our stay in Tahoe, we enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks over the lake, hiked up to Cascade Falls that overlook both Cascade Lake and Emerald Bay, and spent one day at Pope Beach, swimming, sunning, paddle boarding, and canoeing.
After all of our activities it was so relaxing to come back to our cabin, soak in the hot tub, cook great meals, and just be together is such a comfortable home. It sure beats camping!
We have rented this place several times and each time have been pleased. The owner did a fantastic job in the remodel and you can tell tons of time and monies were invested. Our family looks forward each year to winter so we can stay there again...the kids love the upstairs playarea and the "little slope" in the backyard where they can slide in the snow. We will be renting again this year and know it will be another memorable experience.
