My 9 year old son and I stayed in the Malcanton apartment for ten nights in September 2012. We both loved it, from the moment we arrived and saw that it was even better than the photos.
Sebastiano provided very clear instructions on how to get to the apartment, and was there to meet us as planned. It was just a short walk (and one bridge) from Venezia Santa Lucia station, and we found it very easily. Sebastiano is as friendly and helpful in person as he is by email. He explained how everything worked - appliances, rubbish removal, etc. - and marked up the map he provided with restaurant suggestions. He was available by phone and email during our stay, although we didn't need to contact him for anything.
The apartment felt very secure (especially important to me when travelling with a child), and was very clean and tidy. Everything was as described, or better. There is much nicer outdoor furniture in the private courtyard than in the photos - we spent quite a few afternoons out there in between sightseeing and going out for dinner.
The location is very convenient to Campo Santa Margherita and a number of vaporetto stops, there are numerous restaurants within a very short distance - a great location.
I would definitely recommend this apartment, and hope to stay there again on a future visit.
