REFINED BUNGALOW IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

Albuquerque Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

Bungalow, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Ideally situated between Old Town and Downtown, this charming home offers exceptional accommodations. Extensive renovations completed in 2009 integrate modern amenities in a manner that complements the original 1912 construction. The spacious interior of the 900 sqft main level contains splendid natural light, meticulous wood craftsmanship, and many other unique features.

The property includes front and rear yards with xeric landscaping and a generously sized off-street parking area. If relaxing outdoors is for you, you will appreciate the elegant front sitting porch, raised above street level, where you can enjoy the friendly neighborhood, and you may also delight in the privacy of the rear courtyard where you’ll find a brick patio and barbecue grill. Casa Roma -- a breath of fresh air.

David has a passion for renovating old buildings, and enjoys hosting people in Albuquerque. I work as an architect with a focus on synthesizing beauty and energy sensibility.

My wife and daughter and I love urban and mountain walks, cooking and eating diverse, wholesome food, and seem to always be renovating one building or another. We have 4 chickens, a small house, and strive to live simply. We share a car and ride bicycles and walk and ride buses and trains.

I like yoga, soccer, sailing, and woodworking. I don't text much, and I prefer in-person interaction over computerized 'social networking.' I have traveled extensively and love opportunities to connect with people. I aim to be a host who responds quickly to the needs of guests, and I want to create inspiring places where people can rejuvenate and thrive.

The Owner purchased this bungalow in 2004

Albuquerque has much to offer, and the Downtown Neighborhood is ideal for visitors with easy access to just about everything one might desire. This traditional neighborhood is architecturally and socially diverse, very walkable, and offers many attractions! Several City parks are within walking distance, one with an amazing weekly growers' market in the warmer months!

Here is an interesting article on the Duke City you might enjoy: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/george-hobica/underappreciated-albuquerque_b_2548513.html

Design features include efficient and quiet appliances as well as heating and cooling systems, reclaimed and artfully designed wood finishes, including hardwood floors, exposed structural members, and use of green household products. Good place for environmentally sensitive people, and folks who appreciate good design. Best of all is the location – in the heart of the City and the Land of Enchantment...Located in a unique and pleasant neighborhood, between the Rio Grande and the Cultural and Entertainment Districts. Walking distance to: Restaurants and Nightlife, Museums, Botanic Gardens, Zoo, Aquarium, Bicycle paths along the River, Historic Route 66 + main bus route (1-1/2 block), Albuquerque Transportation Center, RailRunner, and Mary Fox Park (1/2 block)

EXQUISITE HOME; SUPERB OWNER; WALK EVERYWHERE: RESTAURANTS, PARKS, MUSEUMS, GALLERIES, OLD TOWN

  • 5 of 5
Delightful! Casa Roma is better than it looks in the photos. Its lovely, warm ambiance with more than fully equipped kitchen and linens offers an extremely comfortable stay. Even better is the owner David, a terrific guy, who is genuinely interested in his guests' comfort, making certain everything you need or want is available, and responding immediately and completely to any requests.

We were treated like visiting dignitaries, with more than all the comforts of home, complete with a personal concierge attuned to our every whim. A Magical experience! David and Casa Roma are off the top of the star rating chart.

COULDN'T BE BETTER!

Couldn't Be Better!
  • 5 of 5
Although we anticipated a wonderful, first-time trip to Albuquerque, it turned out to be even better than we could have imagined. A big part of this was the home we rented from David. Not only was it clean, well-equipped, the perfect size for two of us, and in a great location, David went out of his way to give us tips on what to see, where to go, marked destinations on our map, and made suggestions we hadn't even thought of. The house was great to return home to, and was comfortable and beautifully remodeled. Having the vanity/sink outside of the bathroom itself was great, since one of us could take a shower while the other could take care of getting ready to greet the world. Having the washer/dryer in the back room was also very convenient. We truly loved Albuquerque, and loved the house even more. We will be back next year and would recommend this house to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay!

GREAT!

  • 5 of 5
We've stayed here for three or four times in the past few years (myself, my partner, and our now 18 month old daughter). Of any place we've used on VRBO, this property and the owner are by far the best. The place itself is very, very comfortable, with a great open floor plan and everything you need. Recently we put our daughter upstairs in a pack and play and were able to enjoy the downstairs when she slept. We've loved sitting on the front porch and back yard, and cooking in the kitchen is very easy and enjoyable. David himself is extremely responsive and courteous, and we even now consider him to be a friend. This place is also in a great neighborhood and is close to downtown and down the street from a cute neighborhood park. We love this place and David!

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

  • 5 of 5
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful bungalow. We booked the day of our arrival and David, the owner was very accomidating and very helpful for his last minute guests. We were in town for a volleyball tournament for our daughter and the close proximity to the convention center was a plus. We were able to take advantage of the nearby attractions during our free time. We highly recommend this beautiful home for anyone who wants to enjoy their stay while visiting Albuquerque. Thanks David for your attention to detail!

APRIL IN ALBUQUERQUE

  • 5 of 5
This was our second stay in Casa Roma. We loved it last year and fell in love with it again this year. The house is charming and is in a lovely neighborhood with many renovated homes. My grandson especially enjoyed the park in the next block. Close to the zoo, Old Town, as well as downtown, Casa Roma is a perfect base for seeing Albuquerque. We enjoyed seeing David, the owner again; he will do whatever it takes to make sure your stay in his house is a wonderful one.

SO COMFORTABLE

  • 5 of 5
Home had a nice fit for my wife and I. Quiet neighbourhood but close to downtown, restaurants, grocery store. Cosy interior, fenced backyard, small yet comfortable front veranda. Short walk to off lease park. Owner goes out of his way to be helpful.
