Owner / Property Manager purchased this cabin in 1978
Everything you could want in a log cabin vacation. 5 Adults 4 Kids. everything was perfect. Really off by yourself to enjoy the peace and quiet, great wood stove for a nice fire on a cool night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! owner is close by and very accommodating. Best Vacation
This house is a little pricey for what it offers. Our family of five adults and three children stayed here for six nights in July. There was no air conditioning and most of the windows didn't open. The manager told us to leave the unscreened doors open for better circulation because there were no bugs in Arizona. Not true. There were too many bugs in the evening when we had the lights on and it was hot. Also the living space was too small for a group of our size. There were four stools at a counter in the very small kitchen, and we had to set up a portable table outside if we wanted to eat together. When it rained this was not feasible. There were many pieces of broken and stained furniture, and we asked the manager to remove one chair that looked unsafe.
This is a hidden gem!!! Celebrated my birthday here with friends and had a fun time. This is beautiful and the pictures do not even come close to how amazing this cabin is. Close enough to go into town but isolated to be able to enjoy nature. Had a wonderful thunderstorm and was able to sit on patio to watch. Highly recommend this place.
My wife our 3 kids and myself spent 4 days in this cabin and loved every minute of it.
The owner was fantastic very friendly and helpful. We were looking for a rustic experience with our children we wanted something out away from town with wildlife and this cabin certainly fit the bill perfectly.
During our stay there we saw deer, elk several hawks an a long visit from an eagle and several prairie dogs. The cabin was built by the owner by hand in the 70's using hand tool and has a ton of unique charm. They raised their children here and it was great for our kids. I would highly suggest this cabin to anyone staying in the area it was fantastic. My children are already asking when we can go back.
We loved our time at this cabin. Plenty of space for 6 adults a 3 year old and two dogs. The kitchen is equipped with everything that you will need. The homeowner was very welcoming and was there to greet us with a tour of their lovely cabin. We were also greeted by elk in the front yard; which left us breathless.
We found ourselves not wanting to leave! Thank you very much for all of the great memories and we look forward to returning next winter!
Booking through the Evolve website was painless and made it very easy to find the exact rental that we were looking for! Any questions that we had were answered within 24 hours. I couldn’t have ask for more. This will be my go to website to look for a vacation rentals. Thanks so much!
We loved the private location of this cabin. Plenty of space for us to play
in the snow and even sled right across the road from cabin! Our dog enjoyed the room to run around as well! Inside of the cabin was very unique we loved all the natural woodwork details. Rooms were very comfortable and had great views. We recommend this cabin if you want a quiet and relaxing get away! Thank you for the great weekend stay!
