1 Bedroom , 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

In the beautiful Smokey Mountains right off the Pigeon River there is a cabin named 'Wits End'. It is a private, secluded 100 year old cabin with wood interior and hand hewn beams.

Downstairs is a bedroom with Queen sized bed, romantic decor. The upstairs loft sleeps two in antique twin beds. The living room is large and has a double futon for additional sleeping. During winter months, enjoy the wood buck stove. Wood provided and the kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker. Dishes and pans provided. Bathroom has claw foot bath tub and unlimited towel usage.

The large deck has a gazebo with swing. Double BBQ pit and picnic table. The yard has a fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just to cuddle by. Firewood provided. Original smokehouse holds yard games i.e. horse shoes, badminton, volleyball, etc. Also lawn chairs.

Happy Vacations!: Just a short walk down the driveway to the Pigeon River with beautiful mountain scenery. There is a farmers market stand on the corner of Riverside Dr and NC 209(Crabtree Rd) where you can get your fresh fruit and vegetables-all local grown! Only a 30 minute ride to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Just 15 minutes to downtown Waynesville and Maggie Valley. There is a beautiful new library in Waynesville to E-mail on the internet. And rarely a wait for a computer or use the free WiFi!

Beautiful Cabin!!

My family and I just returned from a mini-vacation in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We were fortunate to be able to spend several nights in Wits End Cabin. To say we were pleased would be an understatement!! The cabin was awesome!! The location is perfect-not to far away from restaurants and entertainment but also not in the usual hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the outside grill and firepit tremendously! Usually on the last day of vacation I am eager to leave to head home but on our last day at the cabin I found myself lingering and hating to leave!! As they say, "There's no place like home" but this cabin certainly came in a close second!!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful cabin with me and my family and we hope to be able to stay again really soon!!

Excellent for a secluded get-away

This property was exactly as described. We had a learning curve on the shower for the claw-foot tub but that was no big deal. Beautifully decorated, CLEAN, and landscaping was well maintained. The only drawback, and my apologies to the owner because I didn't mention this, was the outdoor BBQ grill looked inconvenient to use and we didn't use it at all and I grill outdoors all the time at home. If this is not important to you, you will not be disappointed in this property. I would definitely recommend this property to family & friends.

The Pigeon River

Great fishing and canoeing and just a walk from the cabin. Thats what I came for and was not disappointed! Enjoyed the privacy and peace of the area.

Just Beautiful!

We came for the fall colors and it was even better than we remember! The cabin was so cozy and tastefully decorated. We will definitely be back in the area again. Keep up the good work.

Wanted to let you know that downtown Waynesville was everything and more that you described. It is like taking a step back in time to when I was a kid in Maryland. The Mainstreet had all the quaint shoppes and restaurants a person could hope for on a 3 day vacation. I will tell all my friends about your cabin and the area. Thank You.
