Newly renovated (April 2008) two bedroom apartment with a special feature of independence, due to the second bedroom which is in another small apartment (same floor- more information below).
This is a delightful area, just steps (only a one minute walk) from the famed Montorgueil Farmer’s Market Street where all the stalls and stores are lined-up to offer either everything you could desire for a complete mea or just to stroll and absorb the sights and aromas of all the fresh produce and specialty items they offer.
Off the street and back on a very quiet courtyard, this apartment has 6 large windows which provide lots of light. While it is not large at a combined total of 40 m2 (approx. 430 sq. ft.) it is very comfortable and provides enough space for up to six adults. The two apartments are on the first European floor and are the only two flats on that floor. They about 10 feet apart and are directly across from each other separated by the stairwell. Each flat has a locking door and the keys for the smaller apartment will be left in the larger apartment for your arrival. This provides for extra comfort and independence. The features /amenities for each flat are:
MAIN APARTMENT - the larger of the two- it is 330 sq. ft. with a bedroom, separate living room, and an open-style kitchen.

* A full bathroom with shower/sink and WC (accessed via the living room)
THE SEPARATE BEDROOM APARTMENT - small in size (100 sq. ft.) it has a sofa sleeper for two persons

The owners of this property have 4 other great flats listed on our website, you may wish to view those at ID #100, ID #146 ,ID #180, and ID #224. They have renovated this flat with much care high quality craftsmanship and all new furniture. The kitchen corner (not a full size kitchen but will meet most client's needs) has a under-counter refrigerator, a microwave/grill (not for cooking a complete dinner, but perfectly adequate for reheating prepared foods purchased on rue Montorgueil) a stovetop, a large kitchen sink and there is a washer/dryer as well. There are plenty of plates and kitchen items/utensils available for up to six guests. They have ensured very comfortable beds for this peaceful setting in the handsome courtyard. Each of the bedrooms has a closet for storing your items & luggage as well.
On both sides of this cobblestone street are many handsome facades. Be sure to notice the hand carved stone face above your doorway, plus the quite ancient iron hand pump which was used to draw water several centuries ago. The old wooden doors were built extra large to allowed the horse drawn carriages to enter under the archways and into the courtyard. Most of these 17th and 18th century buildings were once private mansions and the reason for the variations in architectural design for each façade, was that the owners of these mansion copied the façade of their Chateaux out in the countryside. It is fascinating to view this rich history in this personalized context.

Loved the location ! Apartment in inner courtyard - very quiet. A total of 4 adults rented apartment - including the bedroom across the hall. Apartment well appointed - kitchen had all the necessities. Bedroom across the hall is very small - so is really good for only one adult. Best breakfast restaurant right down the street. Could have used a few more instructions as how to use the phone - and metro maps in the apartment to access upon arrival.
Would rent again and would recommend to friends !
Our stay on Market Street was perfect. It is close to three metro stations, very easy to get around Paris. It is in a wonderful area, just around the corner is a beautiful market street. The only strange thing is the second apartment having a shower and sink, but no toliet, this wasn't a problem for our group though.

In order to help make your stay as worry free as possible and also to protect the property owner's property, all guests are required to purchase damage insurance. The cost is $29 or $49, depending on the season.
A confirmation payment of $300 is required within one week of the booking date. Sixty days prior to your check in date, the balance of the reservation is due. If the arrival day is less than sixty days from the booking date then the full amount is due within 7 days.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
