Beautiful well maintained condo with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez. Watch whales playing during migration season while sipping your morning coffee and watching the sunrise. Walk twenty steps to the pool with three tiered hot tubs or walk twenty steps more to the beach for - you choose - surfing or swimming or sunning. Two surf breaks right in front - Middles and La Roca or an easy walk to Acapulquito (Old Man's) or Zippers. Middles and Old Man's are beginner breaks and Zippers and La Roca more challenging. Take your boogey board or snorkel and fins or just swim in the warm, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez. The surf is so gentle that you can see local children swimming after school in front of our seawall.
Mega Market is within one mile for all your shopping needs - with local fresh produce and fresh seafood, bakery, libations of all sorts and everything in between including a pharmacy. Or if you are in the mood to eat out - think Big Tony's Zippers Beachfront Restaurant and Sports Bar (multiple TV's and sports channels - satellite)right next door or intimate Sardina Cantina just up the road or Havana Club with great music, food and bar - right across the street - all within walking distance.
There is a local massage therapist across the street - as well as small organic food restaurant for excellent smoothies.

When Dave was on his bachelor party in Mexico he called Jackie to tell her he missed her and loved her and...'oh by the way I bought a condo!' We went to Las Olas for our honeymoon and loved it so much we bought another, larger condo which is both our home away from home and this rental property. WE are here at least 4-6 times per year and it is so safe that Jackie comes down on her own or with friends or family to this wonderful little community. Dave has perfected his surfing skills, Jackie has perfected her tanning skills and we have both perfected our Margarita skills!!!!
Jackie Benson-DeHaan purchased this condo in 2004
Dave & I live in the mountains and are avid skiers but, I am a California Girl and also love the beach and ocean. This property has allowed us to have the best of both worlds. The location cannot be beat - the people in our community and our neighbors are warm and friendly - and this home allows us to get away and really leave our hectic work life behind. I do cheat & bring my computer sometimes, though.
Unique benefits include: sunrise walks on the beach with coffee cup in hand; early morning or full moon swims in warm sea water; 'manana' is good enough; friendships developed within the community; really good, fresh local foods which usually result in a couple of pounds of weight loss (unheard of when on vacation!); cool, little local restaurants with great inexpensive food.
This is a great stay for surfers. The unit itself is great; spacious, comfortable, fully equipped, AC and a great view from the 5th floor! Walk down and paddle out to one of four surf breaks.... zippers, little pescadito, la roca and/or old mans! The owners are easy to get a hold of and communicate with... simple booking. I highly recommend!
When we first arrived in San Jose we went to Las Olas immediately to chill out. We knew that once we got there we would be stoked, and yes we were! Just think 20 to 25 min away from the air port and a couple of cold ones, you arrive at your 5th floor condo looking at the most excellent view of not one but 3 ripping surf spots, not including the beautiful sea of cortez. Don't forget 5 minutes away is the Mega Market. Buy some good raposoda tequila and some beer, with your groceries
because when your sitting on your deck you will enjoy it for sur. All around having hot tubs, pools and simply the beach, you have all in one hand. This is quite sweet and gets your vacation rite on track. This spot I warn you is hard to leave, but you are set up to travel by car or buss locally in either direction for some great town trips to central Cabo San Lucas or San Jose central. You will fined more authentic cuisine, and surroundings.
The owner are very kind and great to work with and I am sure they will do everthing to help make our needs. All in all awesome time!
We have been renting this unit for the last 3 years for 3 months annually and health permitting will continue to do so. We absolutely love the location with its spectacular view of San Jose Bay and the daylong sunshine on the Patio.
The Condo is conveniently located directly on a safe surf and swimming beach and a short walk to restaurants, surf shops, spas and massage. A bus stop is nearby to take you to Cabo San Lucas or memorable snorkeling at Chileno Beach or Santa Maria Bay for 3 Pesos or less per person.
The Condo is clean and roomy ( a home away from home ) and well equipped with all appliances including Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Dish TV, WI-FI etc. etc.
Grab your suit and head for the beautiful sandy beach, swimming pool or 3 Hot Tubs and enjoy yourself.
We had such a great time! Condo has everything we needed and wanted Fully equipped kitchen and great views We will be repeat renters. The best part was just being able to swim in the sea every day if you surf condo has a surf locker for your board
Just got home from an amazing 8 days at Las Olas. This is the absolute perfect setup for a great surf trip in Baja. The condo was great! It was clean comfortable and well stocked with what you need. The mega (grocery) is minutes away. There is a surf shop right across the street where you can rent Good boards. The view from the condo cant be beat! You look directly at la roca and middles. you always know what the surf is doing. There is a great pool(+3 hot tubs) which also overlooks the breaks. There is also a covered (shaded) hang out area with bbq pits and tables and lounge chairs (this also overlooks all the surf breaks!)
This was the first surf trip we took as a family. My wife and I with our 1 yr old. Las Olas is very family friendly!! it was so easy for my wife and I to take turns surfing and staying with our daughter. With four different breaks within paddling/walking distance you are always close enough to the condo to take a break when the little ones need it. We met very nice people while we were there and enjoyed hanging out by the pool talking with cool people from all around the world.
Even if surfing is not your thing las Olas is great. You are close to all the fun of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, but you have your own little oasis to escape to at the end of the day. The owner was a pleasure to work with and responded promptly to all my communications to her.
11 out of 10!!!!! Excellent VRBO
We have the best view at Las Olas directly facing the Sea of Cortez - you can drink your coffee and check out the surf in the A.M. or take a sunrise stroll along the beach which is just feet away.
