Great Location - Great Restaurants - Close to Metro ~NW~ ~DC~

We stayed for 5 nights.

Things that went well:

1. The unit was clean and organized.
2. The unit was on the first floor.
3. The new replacement windows really kept out the street noise.
4. Free use of the laundry facilities.
5. The location is super! Close to the metro and grocery shopping.


Things to think about:

1. The room divider immediately to the right of the entry door is a hazard. Both of us tripped over the bottom support that protruded into the entry passageway. While we were there, we moved it to another location in the room to avoid tripping and injuring ourselves.
2. The bathtub drained very slowly.
3. The shower curtain was moldy.
4. There was no soap for the dishwasher.
5. The response time to our request for toilet paper was too long. We had to buy toilet paper!
6. The unit did not look as pictured on the website.
7. The top sheet was ripped and the sheets did not match.
8. There were no dish towels provided to dry dishes. We either put them in the dishwasher to dry or used paper towel.
9. There was a leak from the overhead light in the bathroom that dripped water onto the floor and the rug.
10. We were under the impression that the secure parking was really secure parking. Someone could have broken into cars by walking into the unfenced street side of the parking area.

I would stay here again. Not bad for the price.

Some items need to be purchased to freshen things up in the bathroom and the also the bedding.
Otherwise, good location and safety is not an issue for a woman traveling alone.

This studio apartment was exactly as described and depicted in the photos, and was clean and well-maintained. There were no pans in the kitchen when I arrived, but this was soon put right. As noted in another review, the smoke detector is easily triggered!
The wifi connection was flaky at times, but there is a Starbucks just around the corner with a reliable connection if needed.
It's a great neighbourhood with a fine selection of shops and restaurants. You can walk to the Metro and buses within 5 minutes, and Adams Morgan and the zoo are a short bus ride or a 20 minute walk away.
Throughout the booking process and after, Elizabeth provided a lot of helpful information, and dealt with any concerns quickly.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in DC.
