The foyer of Perfect Sunshine opens up into a Great Room with twenty foot wide opening class doors to the verandas on either side. Comfortable Designers Guild sofas with matching floor furnishings and white plaster sculptures recessed into the walls give the Great Room a classical sensation. The Caribbean lime green designer kitchen was designed in Italy, with modern Jenn-Air oven, Hob and American fridge and the latest high tech appliances.
Stepping through the glass doors to the east verandah you will be blessed with views of Green Island and the turquoise sea. Stretching over 100 feet in width, the verandah has a large alfresco dining table, hammock for afternoon snoozes and plenty of deck chairs. Looking downwards, the 50 foot long private infinity pool and deck is a few short steps away. The tradewinds provide a steady cool breeze. On windier days, the west verandah is perpetually calm, with a view of the fjord to be enjoyed while relaxing on a chaise with a pair of solid oak tables to dine alfresco, play cards or enjoy a sundowner.
On the second floor, the “Master Suite” has a super-king four post bed, two balconies with views of both sea fronts so you can watch the sun rise and set from your bed or bath. The ensuite bathroom is loaded with Travertine stone, a modern wet room-style shower, Jack and Jill basins and a two-person Jacuzzi.
The “Golden Bedroom” also has a king size sleigh bed with a view directly to the turquoise bay. Situated next door is a bathroom with hand painted tiles depicting 18th century frigates, harking back to Antigua’s sea faring times.
Downstairs, the spacious “Blue Room Suite” can accommodate up to three with a super-king sized bed complemented with a second day bed and ensuite bathroom. The Blue Room has a private verandah opening up to the gardens and pool.
The “Purple Room” and “Burgundy Room” share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The Purple has two twin beds while the Burgundy has a double bed. Both rooms have private verandahs with spectacular views. All the beds are covered with 600 thread count cotton linens to ensure utmost comfort for dozy Caribbean mornings.
As part of the exclusive and prestigious Nonsuch Bay development, guests have access to the gated community amenities such as the secluded beach, first class restaurant, docking facilities and non-motorized water sports. The grounds are set on over 40 acres of lush, landscaped gardens, while Perfect Sunshine is built on the private one acre hilltop, guaranteeing maximum privacy and the best views.
While Nonsuch Bay is situated 40 minutes from the airport in an exclusive, private domain, there are plenty of activities in close proximity. The world famous Half Moon Bay Beach is a ten-minute drive and cannot be missed. While frolicking in the surf at Half Moon, try the local fare at Harry’s Bar, where the Black Chicken is highly recommended. For fine dining, indulge yourself at Harmony Hall at Browns Bay. This Italian delight is where you will find Antigua’s most elite guests, whether it’s Oprah Winfrey coming by boat from Jumby Bay or Berlusconi popping over from his villa across the waters.
